Not bad price, close to those sold in US. Care to share what's the edge stamp number on your CF? Is the first 2 digit 38? :)

you can read up from here http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007-6022

No lah, not so bad, 40X has old and new edition.

37 and 38 refers to the Lexar firmware. Both exhibit no delay in wake up time. 36 and below are slower. But 38 is the latest edition and suppose to be faster in speed. :)

COMEX over liao. Still got any promo?? What are the prices like now??

*sigh* bought a Lexar JumpDrive Traveler 512 Mb from Eastgear and it's not really working!

Says it should work on Win Xp but most of the PCs I tried do not detect the thumbdrive at all! ;(

Sorry to hear that but my Lexar Traveler bought at COMEX works fine after it finished installing the drivers, automatically by WinXP first time it is inserted into USB.

hmm bought the 256 Mb lexar very good leh no problem at all.....

The Lexar 256mb drive works well on my Win 2K. No probs at all too.

Wondering if Comex price still applicable as i could not get hold of the CF card the other day. Any comments from EastGear?

are you using in the office? can get your LAN guys to check, it could be due to other network drives mapped to your pc. that was the case with mine, i changed the drive letter as it picked up one that was already assigned.

or bring it down to eastgear, if it's really faulty, they'll change it for you. but call to confirm they have stock first.

It seem to work fine on Win2k.. I tried afew WinXP machines and it was not detected.. kind of fustrating.. Will call EastGear after I try some more...... :dunno:

$99 Kingston CF was out of stock on Sat night. I asked them and it is the same price if you purchase from their shop.

that's strange.. should be able to work with win2k n above OS.. becos of autodetection... my 256 jumper works well...
but finding things to store in.

Hmm.. a Ridata 1GB SD card 66x cost $225. Would that be a better buy over the Lexar 40x?
