I actually think black with silver lens (not just Oly) is not too bad either Though I would prefer a silver.

I have Silver OM-D.

I have Black Oly 12-50mm.

I have Black Panny 20mm, 25mm, 45-200mm.

All looks good on silver.

Haha. Silver really make the camera look real retro. I do have a silver om-d myself. Initially, i thought the silver side looks and feel more metal.
But perhaps the paint coating makes it touch differently. But overall, still look nice.

now, the not so good stuff: spot metering. it is not linked to the AF point and stays at the center. the first few shots had blown highlights which made me scratch my head since i was pretty sure i had the AF on the brightest object in the frame (the bald head of the lead singer). then i noticed the little gray circle in the middle of the EVF and it wouldn't budge despite my cursing. i was so used to the D7K having spot metering linked to the AF point that i (mistakenly) assumed it was standard feature for all cameras in this price range.

it was too much of a bother to meter at the center, AEL with the tiny fn1 button (which is most certainly too small), recompose, then shoot. by the time i've gone through this sequence, the lighting has changed, the subject has moved. particularly bothersome when holding the camera overhead. i found it much faster (and more predictable) to use center-weighted metering and just dial in the EV compensation. the rear dial was much easier to feel-find and i didn't have to recompose. i opted for center-weighting since the required EV compensation was narrower (between -1 to -2) compared to ESP where at times i had to dial in -3EV, likely because the stage backdrop was mostly black.....

Just a small tip.

You don't HAVE to press in the Fn buttons to do spot/focus/recompose to get the advantage of Spot Metering.

I found that when I set the camera to Spot Metering, I can simply half-press the shutter WITHOUT pushing in the Fn buttons and still get a EV lock. This is on SINGLE AF Mode. It Does NOT work in C-AF or C-AF Tracking modes.

I guess in this instance, it might also be good to set the AF point to the center if you're shooting things like concerts.

The counter from the memory card does not prove anything, once format the counter will go back to 0.

1. While holding the "Menu" button, press Power button to switch on

2. Press "Menu" and go to "Monitor brightness adjustment" screen

3. Press "Info" and "OK" button at same time, you will see the screen showing "Olympus"

4. Press the following buttons in the sequence: Up, Down, Left, Right and then press the Shutter, followed by Up (dial button in my E-P2)

5. Engineering mode page is seen. Press dial button to Page 1, 2, 3, and "D".

6. Shutter count is on "Page 2" under "R"

Just checked it works, Already did 3K+!!!
