I only had the EPL-1 previously. But I remember the options settings are all open up already by default...

But again this is a totally new beast compare to that.

Go setting and bring back default?

I think it's not nice to say here unless I can confirm out of box what are the settings. Anyway it's a reputable shop, just that I want to hv peace of mind.

Not sure if this would help.. If you see the prism where the evf is, you can find a small button by the side.. This button toggles between lcd lice view and evf view.. Try that

Yup I did a reset and now all options are open up and yes I can toggle LV now.

I can't tell coz I never used the camera with 1.0. The first thing I did after unboxing the camera was to apply the firmware update 1.1.

There seems to be a lot of 12-50 kit lens on sale in BnS section. Wouldn't this lens a good keeper since it is the only weather sealed lens for MFT? Why so many owner sell the lens off?

I thought so too and that's why I got the kit but to be honest, I didn't mount the 12-50mm so far...

Its a great lens. But I thk they either think its a crap lens or do not value weatherproofing.

I keep mine. It's a versatile lens when light is adequate.

All round: Oly 12-50mm/f3.5-6.3 (might replace it with the coming Pana 12-35mm/f2.8)
Low light scene: PL 25mm/f.14
Serious macro: PL 45mm/f2.8
Portability/compactness: Pana 20mm/f.17

I haven't used mine yet. Too busy trying out other lenses with my omd. But will be keeping it. I think it'd make a great all purpose travel lens, including the electronic zoom for shooting video.

So far local box sets are black lens. If u like that combo either buy body then silver lens separately or wait till neck long long for Oly Sg to bring it in.

The one in your link shows 14-42 primarily.

Though a shot was taken with 12-50mm silver.... Dun think that's the default kit anywhere.

My preferred lens on em5 is still 12-50
