Anyone knows if we can extend the playback of a picture once we snap it? Eg when I use my DSLR and snap a pict, the LCD will display that picture for a few seconds. Can't seem to find this option in the menu.

Yes we can. I set it to 3 sec

Mine with 50 Lux V2 and CV 35 if anybody is interested with the combos.
Both combos look very nice i think...

Sorry it wasn't meant in that negative sense.

Apologies for the bad video quality, I believe the uploader was trying to illustrate the following defect.

Do all black bodies have such a bad paint job? o_O

the batt grip does improve the feel of the cam like...a MUST-BUY item

the optional flash, if u hv a fl36r or 50r, u can use it as a flash to trigger the other flash in RC mode.

i checked mine... that area is painted perfectly.. you should go olympus make noise (maybe you get a new set of something :X)

Another brother here can confirm panny 20 1.7mm do not have any lock up issue (camera hang and need to take out battery to reset) when use in EM5. I ask this because info from some other forums stated that they experience this issue.

I have used mine with the em5 and so far no issues, the real issue i find with the 20 1.7 is the banding on higher iso (1600+) :/ i hope it can be cleared up with FW update

The banding is the only reason I haven't order the EM-5 yet. Especially this one, doesn't look good at all.

Does that really happen only with a few lenses? Do all OMDs have the problem?

Most common with 20mm/f1.7, so far I found only 1 with PL 45mm/f2.8. I suspect all OMDs have the problem, but still not conclusive. Hopefully Olympus release official statement bout the issue ...

Okay, I finally let go from my silver OMD at Cathay today. :(

To be honest, comparing those 2 pics of gf1 and em5, I dun know what banding is and how it looks like. IMO, the pic from em5 looks hell lot nicer, whether banding or not.

I once owned gf1 for a year as well and ISO above 800 is really bad. So comparing it against em5 is not that fair. They should have used gx1 since it uses the same sensor.

Anyway, I find many posts at dpreview are often making a mountain out of mole hill. People really have nothing to do but exaggerating small things out of proportion. If we want professional quality pictures, then get a pro level equipment to do the job. This em5 is still a consumer level product.

Anyway, even pro level products have their own set of issues as well....

If can afford, just go get it and enjoy while you can. Life is short and unpredictable, if you seen recent news, even if you are a rich young businessman driving a red Ferrari does not mean you can enjoy for a long time. When it's time, it's time...nothing can stop it...

i feel personally.. despite of the slower AF, panny offers F1.7 and F1.4. for DOF and usage of low ISO(especially on MFT sensor you need faster lens and low iso for smoother pics)
and even if its really true, isnt it like the kind similar of filter/lens flare.. if it gives you something unwanted in your images, then change your position? rather than trying very hard to take pictures and show they've banding? i kept trying.. darn i can find any :P

Yah, I use my camera to take photos of my family and things I cherish, not some stupid wardrobe to showcase whether got banding or not.

Wah bro ... canceled your order? If things turn out to be okay, I'm gonna feel guilty woh.

Ouverture:
Banding is like result of bad printer which has interleave non-uniform color horizontally. Mostly apparent if you crank up your monitor brightness.
