coming from fuji... i wanted OMD cause of its IBIS... i'm not a pro that carries tripod, i wanna use slow shutter speed. and it has better noise vs gf3 and ep3, and a inbuilt evf vs gx1.

i don't know why people are giving up to get the OMD because of this. i can't afford a fuji xpro-1 + 18 or 35mm which is 3k, or a NEX with CZ 24mm f1.8. thats why i'm in a OMD + 20mm f1.7 which was much cheaper. (thou i really want a 12mm f2 for its wide angle and little distortion cause i take alot of indoor pics)

give it a 2nd thought guys...

Banding is like result of bad printer which has interleave non-uniform color horizontally. Mostly apparent if you crank up your monitor brightness.

Yup, they had a silver one in stock and called me this morning but I told them they can sell it to the next guy/gal in the list.
Anyway, I might just buy a black one coz the silver ones looks cheap with the vertical grip.

Another brother here can confirm panny 20 1.7mm do not have any lock up issue (camera hang and need to take out battery to reset) when use in EM5. I ask this because info from some other forums stated that they experience this issue.

For lockup issue, some reports workaround to fix the issue.

I had once with 20/1.7 & hi iso last week, din really strike me it was a problem as I just delete and tried on another scene, was not able to replicate banding again, in any case, it's just 1/xxxx shots I took, no big issue for me really.

Very similar but not exactly the same. It's like different speed processors within the same family (e.g. Ivy Bridge Core i5).
