I asked South Asia Computer yesterday and they only had black left.

I was yesterday at Funan and they had only silver single lens kits left after 6pm!

Was trying live bulb with preview other day with remote shutter, it's really useful for long exposure shots to see actual exposure preview. No need calculate exposure especially when use ND filters.

Went Chinese garden last Saturday night and tried it too. This feature is cool! You see on the spot the exposure. I was thinking this will work great perfectly with a gnd.

Do you owners like the shutter sound? I don't have the OMD but I tried one that belong to a fellow photog.

I find it so nice, it has a low bassy sound to it (the cam came with grip attached).

I like:) more stealthy. Sounds at times a bit like frog croaking tho

Cathay also no more stock, just called.

Haha, good I didn't collect mine yesterday to make someone else happy. lol

Anyone did a comparison between epl2 and em5? Was looking at the photos and they somehow looks the same with epl2. Or it is just me?

The IQ difference will not be far off for low ISO, bright conditions. Hi iso is much better and with 16mp would help on cropping.

Sooooo i finally got my hands on the silver EM-5 last night  here are my observations and thoughts

-solid build, really feels nice (should be for the price tho)
- its a little past my limit on how small a camera can be, haven't bought the grip yet.. though i think a little more width extension on the side of the grip would make it good for me. but I can still live with the handling. and the grip or probably a 3rd party one is on my lists
- as what others have said, they need to increase the button sizes for play and fn1 buttons or probably change the direction of pressing downwards rather than forwards.
- overall the buttons are pretty small but usable, i personally am not happy with the feeling of pressing it.. its like playing with a NES controller with its d-pad rubbers worn down. in fairness they are be easily activated.
- i like the 12-50 for what it is, but i'll see how it fits in my shooting habits.. the macro feature is handy and probably one of my fave feature on the lens, since I'm not really into hardcore macro
- its amazing with the 45 mm 1.8 i tried shooting in my room around 4 am (lol woke up too early) the only lights are from my keyboard and pc leds and the ambient from the street lights IIRC it was f1.8 @ iso6400. I shot around 1/4 secs and the image was really acceptable considering the circumstances, a little blurry but i really expected a lot worse. the IS is very good and I'm used to having IBIS from older Oly bodies.

will play a little more and report back

Okay... just did an early morning Tekka shoot with some friends. This is purely my experience on 1st day of using the OM-D (bought it yesterday).

1. Small camera (coming from D3 and D700). Size is pretty nice actually except that the grip on it is almost non existence. The front of the camera is too smooth for the right hand to hold it for extended period of time but I am assuming it will get better with usage once I get the hang of it. The batt grip should help a lot.

2. Dials are a bit... stiffy in my opinion and feels odd compared to standard DSLR dials. Will need to get used to it. However, it also means its not as easy to accidentally change settings as compared to an EP3 (I have tested them before).

3. The touch screen is god send! Did some shots by tilting out the screen. Compose and touch on where you want the camera to focus and take a shot immediately works well. The kitties must be happy I took so many shots of them.

4. The bundled 12-50mm is a bit front heavy when paired with the camera so some peeps may not like it. With the 20mm F1.7, the bundle is small and none obtrusive.

5. Have tried to push/pull some shadows (nothing extreme... around 1.5EV diff) and details/noise are holding well so I'm pretty satisfied. Have not processed most of the pictures I took but shots using dramatic art filter are literally good for web/facebook if one is not picky. Its very well done and I'm loving it. I shoot raw and insofar, I've not caught any serious issues. Colors are pretty good when seen on lightroom 4 but I feel there is something different from my DSLRs. I can't pinpoint what it is yet (perhaps it's due to 4:3 perspective) and I reserve comments for later.

6. Tried ISO at 3200 and it works well enough with slight denoise via lightroom 4 so its perfectly usable to me. Personally, I would use it up to ISO 2000 without any denoise but any higher, the grain starts to irritate me.

7. Focusing with kit lens is very fast. With the 20mm... there is audible noise and the focusing is not as fast but acceptable for me. If you are a Nikon user, I would relate it to be slightly faster than the the focusing speed of the 50 F1.4G.

8. Tried the bundled flash... and seriously its pretty rubbish IMO. At mid morning harsh sun light, with subject approximately 5 metres, it didn't do a good job of fill flash. Do note that it might be due to the abnormally harsh sunlight. I'll do more tests when I get the opportunity.

That's all for now folks. Based on a 2 hour walkaround shoot this morning and I'm still learning stuff about the camera.

hehe! I love the enthusiasm of u guys. You remind of those newly married couples who can't sleep and wake up early just to do it again and again. ;)

Doesn't that happen about 10 years before you get married?

my waking up was accidental, the dog was making a fuss and had to stop it. then cannot go back to sleep already. Once I started playing with camera i stopped at 7am without noticing, good thing it arrived on a friday also hahaha

Anyone knows if we can extend the playback of a picture once we snap it? Eg when I use my DSLR and snap a pict, the LCD will display that picture for a few seconds. Can't seem to find this option in the menu.

Bro, no need to explain yourself. A lot of us are "newlyweds" here. ;)

Most of us also find any little excuse to shoot...... even nothing to shoot also can find a subject.
I found myself shooting my playground downstairs, the factory across the road, the signboards in my neighborhood.... all these I've seen for 7 years liao but now look at with renewed enthusiasm.

After that first shot, you'll find yourself wanting to buy her nice jewellery (like that PanaLeica 25/1.4) or dress her up in nice new clothes (like that Gariz LE Leather half-case), or even get her new implants to make her bulges bigger (like that HLD-6).

Ok..... now I'm getting horney, let me go turn on my new wife and shoot a few off first. ;p
