I had just being given a Nikon DSLR D5000 as a gift. I would like to hear the review of this model? Is it good enough for a freelance photographer to take wedding shoots (ROM,Pre Wedding & Actual Day)?
Is it difficult to become a photographer for ROM, Pre Wedding and Actual Day Wedding for a totally noobie like me? I wanted to become one but i am not sure how to start to be one.
hi bro,
D5000 is good enough to take wedding shoots.
If you want the best cam, get a D3/D3X (for nikon system)
be prepared to pay tons of $$$$ for lenses, flash, accessories etc.
how to start?
starting shooting for frens, then as assistant wedding photog, finally as your own pro.
check out all the top wedding photogs' portfolios for ideas (e.g. imasaint, canturn, ckuang etc), and develop your own style.
post your wedding portfolio in CS to get feedback, comments and critiques.
attend wedding photog workshops. join wedding photographer associations.
etc etc etc.
to develop people skills, you just need to remember one thing..... be confident, yet humble, be creative, yet compassionate.
good luck!
