Dry cabinet at Carrefour

Just got a functional hygro at Ruby for $20.

Took 2 models and asked the man at the counter.

rayman: What's the diff between these 2?
ruby: No diff at all. Both measure temp and RH.
rayman: ?? Then price leh??
ruby: (points to simple one) $20
(points to nicely packaged one) $42
rayman: You know my answer, Uncle.
ruby: Smart.

Anyway, Wolfie, the reading on the digihygro is approx 5% more than the RH reading on the analog in our dry cab. So maybe you can take that as a yardstick.

Dry Rod? One of those things you put into the clothes cupboard to prevent mould and mildew?

Believe most hardware stores sell them, price not sure.

Sorry Wolfie, made a mistake here. Seems like the readings on the analogue and digital meter are very similar. It's only that the digihygro takes a much shorter time to react, that's why.

Anyway, I've managed to get my dry cab floating at 50%. Thanx to the 'let-moisture-in-and-settle-dry-cab-down' technique.

Good for you. Mine is also settling down and not flacuating so much anymore...

The Am-Pro I have has been serviced twice, and it doesn't work that well even then. The Toyo Living ones on the other hand have been working flawlessly.

Where do u sent your ampro for servicing? mine is going bonkers, everyday the humidity swing from 45% - 80% and u can see moistures in the cabinet. have to open and close, then it will go back to 40%. the red light is perpetually on
