Hey Wolfgang,

My dry cab went down to 31% a while ago and is maintaining its 'good form'. How's yours? So is 31% too low for RH? What do you think is good?

Same.. it's going up and down on my digital hygro...

I am letting it run on M and seeing how it will go... :)

But ideal is 45-55% :)

Mine has to be turned beyond H to attain 45%-50%. At M, the reading is 30%+. At H, close to 40%. So play around with the dial until you achieve the desired setting. :dunno:

Thanks for the tip.. i am still fiddling ard wit the dial.. till i get the desired RH... :)

Any side effects if I let it hover at 30%?

Say... Why aren't you guys asleep yet?????? :gbounce:

Heh, it's 3am and you're asking this. Me slept for 4 hours just now.. '(OvO)' Owl time...

I'm running mine in and one thing i have realised is that the RH guage one the front dial is abit off, or not so accurate so a digital hygrometer would be better.

Using the "M" setting, it was @ 46% yesterday, but now, it's all the way down to 31%. Strange... now twiddling with the knob and positioning it between "L" & "M"

Yup same problem here! Anyway to "cure" it?

YS, I'm on night duty so can post thoughout the night heh heh

Wolfgang and CH, could it be possible you opened your cab for some time or put something new in? When I loaded my cab after running it in, the RH shot from 40% to 75%!! Took a few hours to go down to 30%.

The most moist thing I put in was the strap for my F60 which probably explains the surge in RH.

Anyone has any idea what the side effects are if my dry cab is too dry ie low RH?

Cracked rubber lining, warped negatives....

yo rayman, 30% is a little on the low side. around 40+% will be good. Try fiddling with the settings. I took a few days to get the RH to settle on about 42% percent. Darn power dial is so unindicative.

Hey Rayman... i have no problem getting the RH to drop. But the RH keeps going down to ard 35% ++. (Still twirling the dial and getting it to come up to ard 45%) ;p

Hmmm... Yeah Wolfgang and Tweek, I know what you mean when the RH drops too much... Will tweak my cab settings when I get home later this evening.

You guys are nuts... I stayed up throughout the night cos of night work so I kept posting. And you guys stayed awake too??? No sleep????????

Haha I'm a night owl :D

Anyway, I did not open the cabinet door. As I am typing this now, the RH level increased to 55%. I believe when I check it again tonight, the RH level would be 35%. Strange phenomeneon. Is it because the dry cabinet is faulty?

Hey, you are not the only one who works night shifts you know. ;)

Tweaking my dry cab now... If the RH gets too low, I should turn the dial more towards 'H', correct?

Mine is now before H already... Don't bother with M.. just twist the dial a lil before "H"...

Maintaining ard 48%

:)

Cool! I'll try when I get home in a jiffy!

You on night duty again Wolf?

Nope. :)

Hey guys,

This is weird... I've got my dial just a little next to 'Off' and the hygro still registers 40% RH. Don't tell me I have to leave the door open to get 45-55% haha

How guys?? Any suggestions??
