Which colour specifically? The lens I used are your run of the mill kind, ranges from the 18-105 kit, 35 1.8 DX, Tamron 17-50, AIS 35/50/105 for most of it. Yes they are all post processed, I usually do adjustments with curves, pushing of midtones, split toning, usual burn and dodge etc.. all done in LR3. Thanks alot and hope this helps :D

oh, thax! can kit one lens do? and what software do u used?

That is a hard question to answer. You will have to ask yourself this question. Do you feel the streets and the people? Do you mind immersing yourself in a culture and feel how they feel? Do not think too much about which lens is able or not. Gear is good, but Vision is better. Shoot with your heart and I am sure you will be able to achieve great images.

Pre-visualize and creative imagery does help when shooting, look, feel and listen. Dont worry about kit lens, I myself used my 18-105 and created some nice shots for myself. Man behind the camera is more important relative to gear.

For post processing part you may want to check The Digital darkroom section of clubsnap and google for tutorials. There are tons, all you need is just a little initiative and hardwork and i am sure you will be on your way. Thanks for your compliments.

I agree, gear does play a part but prob 10% imho.

If people back then could shoot bare basics, I dont see why one cant shoot well these days!

There is a thread here shot by LX5, some good pics.

I've taken a couple of interesting pics with my compact GRD III as well.

Chase less gear, shoot more, jumping from system like canon to nikon like some in CS do is not gonna help when the problem lies within one self.

Okok enough from me, sorry bro too much talking in your thread....

Lol

More intimate look at this dying oriental art form

As compared to the supporting artistes, the 'Fa Dan' usually gets a private makeshift room plus a PA to assist her in preparation, here one can see Leung Wai Ming's PA helping her dress for the evening show. The 'Ah ma' does everything - this includes ironing and packing costumes, setting up the room and even making herbal tea for the fa dan.
