I have stopped watching MC's TV drama since 2 years back and I have never watched once since then.

The concept is still the same, I believe. You love me but I love her. And she loves him but me...And this one not happy with this one and this one wants the money/business of this one and try all ways and means to get the business..blar blar

so what tickles yr fancy?

MC's drama is just the same today, yesterday and tomorrow.

An example, the 7pm show, "Xin Hua", if I change the title to "Tong Xin Yuan" you cannot tell the differences too....The concept / scripting is over use already.

Photography, of course.

There is so much to read about. Lighting, Post process, composition, creative photog & style.
But I like documentary from Okto.

...and if you had to watch a program what would that be?

Basket how come you know this secret?.....

But the title is actually called " 大肉棕 " :dunno:

Imagine Fiona was the accidental daughter of YiDao .... it happened on that fateful rainy nite when YiDao was pissed off by YueNiang and he came back drunk after comsuming illegal alcohol sold by those ah nei near his pig farm ... and he ahem ahem YueNiang .... but it was NOT shown here coz of censorship problem... you need to buy the "original" DVD up north to get the actions ....

SO the sequel is that Fiona grew up at Lim Chu Kang (near where ZoeTay used to live), and how she grew up climbing trees, playing with pigs, etc.... then grew old, then commit suicide because of high income tax problem with the authority, but not before she gave birth to a 小肉棕 before she took over the title when 小肉棕 won the TCS popularity award but by then she became another 大大肉棕 then she retired after she gave birth to another girl ..........:dunno:

Then she fell in love with Gu Tua (YueNiang's half angmo son) acted by Mark Lee, and the story goes round and round ........

Btw, all these young 肉棕 were acted by Fiona and the old 肉棕 was acted by Chen Li Ping

hahahaha, Mark Lee cast as half ang moh? :bsmilie:

Some years back, the trend was towards stories about major diseases. So many back to back ones.

Characters on Ch 8 are always so predictable and one-dimensional. Sigh. But I gotta say I did like the first few SBC ones, save for the dubbing. At least now they use the actors' real voices. Mostly.

good screen writer leh...

I thought the old SBC, TCS dramas were better.

I miss the old tele-movies. Heavenly Ghost anyone? Zhong Kui! Xiao Ao Jiang Hu.

Why they stop the formula of period dramas?

Little Nonya was abit historically inaccurate for my liking and, like everyone says here. Storyline = predictable. I'd rather switch to celestial movies and watch the old Shaw movies. At least they are willing to make a unhappy ending.

I like documentaries.

haha...That's my favourite, man! How did you know? I will never miss a single episode :bsmilie:

Dude, I record the episodes so I can watch them over and over again :heart::heart:

I also like Okto documentaries.

The Wednesday one by Sir David Attenborough was good.

Ch8 is.......? & nowadays they keep replaying the old shows which cast the late MC king.

Just imagine, if Fiona with the Kebaya on ....:sweat::sweat: who care how her face looks like or how she tries to act pitifully ....

Think all the guys, ah pek, uncle, grandpa will be rushing home to watch the show....

No wonder, now the uncles are saying that the show is so flat ......

Why want to cast her in sarong kebaya? Should cast her in a diving show, like Jessica Alba, Into The Blue, better!

I had given up hope on all locally produced dramas, english or chinese. :thumbsd: Total crap. Yes, characters all same-same... storyline confirm chop have a few elements like jealousy, love triangle, etc...

What happened to those mystery shows like Beyond Axis of Truth and Angel's Dreams (or was it Angels Wings) from early 2000s?

Now cast in hunks and babes just for their looks? Except for the older generation actors and some exceptions... Some "actors" and actresses" could hardly act. Almost like there's a piece of paper floating in front of them and they're just reading it out.

yes yes so that she might have an increased probability of drowning and then I'll have one less weird looking ugly to look at.

;p

cosplay lor... who knows, some organiser may organise a nonya zhang & bah zhang still life shootout.

Now suddenly I see Peranakan Buffer sprouting all over town. Went back to Malacca recently and the place was packed with Singaporean cars. Must be because of this Little Nyonya thinggy

Small little gossip.

Last night arrived at Changi from Hong Kong. Saw Jannett Ow, the main actress in Little Nonya with a girlfriend. saw her left the Customs after getting her luggage. Petite size girl. Really sweet looking. Then i realised that Tay Ping Hui is beside me waiting for luggage to be out.
Do you think what i am thinking?

Someone please organised a model shoot with models in Nyonya dress. Sure very nice one!
