I don't mind it because it's one of the few shows on local tele where I do not see either

a) Gurmit Singh
or
b) Michelle Chia

foreigners who watch local television will be forgiven if they thought that all males in Singapore look/spoke/behaved like Gurmit, and that all females in Singapore are like Michelle Chia.

I'm not dissing them in any personal manner, but I really am just that little bit sick and tired of seeing them in almost every other local production.

I watched it once... only because I was lying on the bed and too lazy to get up... so just continue with whatever program was on...

I can't take the unfairness and this type of drama, no plot tear-jerker is just not my type of serials... I just don't get the point! HK serial even tear-jerker type would have intricate plot to keep you in suspense and wanting to watch on.

There's also this other guy always on local dramas - Adrian Pang (is that his name... kinda rusty with the name now).

Ya, he from Ch5 went to Ch8 for a number of dramas.

Not to mention for variety shows, also the same old people.
- Bryan Wong
- Mark Lee
- Quan Yi Feng
- Kym Ng

I am always fascinated when I hear the Ch U slogan, "leading the trend in Asia".

If this is the slogan for Channel News Asia, I may find it easier to believe since nowadays, you can watch CNA in most hotels around the world.

But with Ch U, many shows were / are from overseas. The leadership they claim cannot be referring to the strategy to buy certain % of shows from overseas.

What's new in Singapore? :bsmilie:

For e.g. Fiona Xie in a 娘惹 outfit?
Imagine her figure wrap around the clothes. ;p
Just learned from some crazy fans the following:

The theme song by Olivia Ong is the hottest local song now ... not available on DVD but only online download

The original main actress were selected from: Fiona Xie, Jesseca Liu and Jeannette Aw.

Jesseca was popular as she is a Malaysian and was supposed to be more "nyonya" ..

Fiona was not selected not because her acting is not up to par but more so in that if she wears the Nyonya Kebaya, all the other gals will look really bad in theirs :bsmilie::sweatsm::sweat:

Jeanette is now officially the successor to Fann Wong with this hit show ...., and now who will be Zoe's successor?

This show really tests the sanity of the audience ....

Then why do so many people like it? And the mediacorp is making a huge hype out of it (ok, that I can understand) but what's the deal about all this hype from the people?!?
:dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno:

Sad life for Joanne Peh.

First kena ahem ahem by Richard Zhang.
Then tonight episode, Richard Zhang drug her and let the ang moh ahem ahem her to bribe him. :o

too many "unexplained phenomena" for me with this show. its Little Nonya X-files to me :bsmilie:

1) mother Juxiang and daughter Yuniang were thrown off the cruiser in the open sea.
without a float or even a piece of wood, the two not only didn't drown by drifted
to the shore near each other.
2) then they can figure out they way back to singapore
3) when Juxiang died, Yuniang knows how to go to Malacca all by herself
and found her grandmother.
4) Yuniang was thrown into the well and survive one night there.

sure there are more.

and the sad story of Juxiang basically repeats on Yuniang. Think they can make it 1000 episode one by applying the same to Yuniang's daughter down to her great great great great great great great great great great great grand daughter :bsmilie:

funny, love the way u put it. yah..the story a bit stiffing and boring.

this ang mo is the old "MAS" chief - the one who decline the bribe but accept this special gift?

probably last mins someone will come to save her before the ahem ahem or she kills him or she kills herself after the ahem ahem ,,,,

The song is really nice ....
Cannot imagine Fiona put up that pity look face whether can it be convincing or not. But if she body wear that Kebaya, I think the whole show I will be staring only one place :embrass:

Personal view, when Jeanette was acting Juxiang without speaking ... I think still ok, but when she act on Yueniang when speaking, I think CMI liao ....
