I feel that it's quite specific and not so practical for everyday applications. Don't think it can replace the regular ballhead, but supplement it for pano purposes.
For camera without vertical grip, the lens is much closer to the base of the camera, so that lens clamping ring might interfere with regular tripod mount.
there is yaw and roll, but I still can't find how it will pitch.
just something to "tickle" DD123 since one of his long lens does not comes with a lens mount.

the knobs seems small for DD123 "BIG" hands
