waaaaa shiok...

Yesterday also shiok... but we dodged some bullets yesterday... and stayed virus free.

yeap, almost bite the bullet yesterday, today have to go and buy if everything fits the way i want, a simple yet effective belt set-up,

den wads the diff between vr1 n vr2? anws, its waaaaaaaay too ex for me now.. too much things to pay for the time being...

Or like me you can consider the Tokina 50-135/2.8. You get same FOV as the 70-200 on FX. Buy in HK only $680. :D:D

well diff is mostly the optics for the corners which performs better on the vr2 and the vignetting is less visible on the vr2, plus the new VR2 allows u to handheld at even lower shutter speeds... provided with the correct technique...

like DD advise, if u dont need vr can go for the tokina 50-135 which is quite good with the built in tripod mount u can always use a monopod.... it u prefer more reach can always get the nikon 80-200 2.8...

ah yesh the steroid belt suits u lah bro, as for me i prefer skins series, slimmer profile flexible...and cant always wrap the thing and stuff in the backpack...

hehehehehhe

oh.. yah huh...

u mean cannot get tokina in hkg n bring to CP for calibrating if sth's wrong?

that y i say buy the tokina with local warranty,
otherwise, the warranty no count in CP ie singapore.

VR1 and VR2 are two difference model.
some/many said if u are on DX camera, VR1 will be gd enuff, will cause some vignette on the FX.
VR2 is a newer model that does perform better on FX and of course DX.

Can adjust in SG la... for Nikon lenses no problem.... and most Nikon lenses seldom give problem... unless of course if you are getting the 24-70. That one no matter which country you get it at, you will get problems along the way.

Tokina a little trickier. Dealer is Cathay Photo. If you get chop and official reciept... should be ok.

Sigma is the most funky one. All kinds of weird reasons and excuses will come out.

haha ya lor...

confirm, nikon singapore will service all international lens?
