nicedid you happen to see if there are any freebies?
I'm a proud owner of one =).
My 1st DSLR too.
Enquired with Parisilk, E-620 single lens kit sells for $1165 (GST included) with the said freebies.
Toyed with it at Courts Tampines this morning. I admit that although its menu system is not the most intuitive, it's not so difficult when you hands-on. The screen is definitely hinged correctly (Nikon should have learnt this), and most functions have dedicated buttons. Price is $1298 with kit lens. On the downside, I still find its viewfinder pretty narrow.
That said, I tried the E30 and fell in love with its ergonomics - it's designed for my hands!
Out with the old (taken with E-620)
My Powershot A95. Served me well for 4 and a half years.

How's the viewfinder of E-620 compared to, say D40 or a 450D? Based on my calculations, it should be *slightly* smaller. The E-30's viewfinder is bigger than the above two mentioned comparisons though.
How much was the E-30 at Courts?
The subject seems to be OOF entirely (unless you're focusing on the words "Canon"), lol. Too excited? :bsmilie:

E30 with 14-54mm is $24xx (can't remember). Alan Photo is going at $2208. Still kinda ex leh, me thinks, compared to, say, a D90. Since I've not studied much into Olympus, I need to do more homework before committing. But other than that, it's really tempting! ;p
