Exellent comments from Azure
100% agreed

while comtemplating to buy S3.. many ppl adviced me against buying it.. but i took the plunge after looking at the DR department(which Azure had missed out)

The shadow details are absolutely gorgeous!

Not forgetting the noiseless quality taken even at iso800! (really nice)

slowest of the camera(not shutterlag or focusing speed) makes one take the pic more carefully and focused(and this is imho a 'nice feature') :)

even from my S2... the jpegs and color are so nice that i don't have to spend hours infront of my sad pc and edit the photos. i jus hate doing so, unless necessary!

best of it all is the comments i get from the nice gals over at KT whenever i develop jpegs that are straight off the camera, 'hahaha!', nice colour! no need to add magenta, yellow or cyan!

and when it really matters, a slight adjustment of Curves in PS is more than required.

is the S2 a 'sleeper' among DSLRs? i do notice that there's a increase in demand for S2 and S1 in the used market. or is it just me?
:bsmilie:

I was at company D&D last Friday night, tehre was a freebie mobile studio, and the photographer was armed with E-300. The digital file and prints does not show as much details as my S2pro, that's for sure. And they had a nice background (from Eastgear) and softbox strobe.

4 years plus and counting, S2pro is still good for imaging. But seriously, be prepared for sudden death. Hopefully no sudden death for S3pro.

Now, w.r.t. the battery trays, can I have a show of hands/posts who's still keen? Fuji Sg should be getting them in before end of month, so I'll want to remind them again. :D

Yup, still need the battery trays. Can I have two of them ? S$21 each ? Thanks alot Barnie !

Noted : 2 trays each for Tim and Vern. ;)

... errrr what front rubber caps? Fuji has no idea what is that.... :dunno:

hope to learn more from you..

No wonder. I'll ask them again on Wed/Thu. Am packing up my stuff to bring home and do...

Meanwhile, do we have enough users and interest to form our own little S2/S3 group?

We (S2/S3 users) are but a speck in the sea of D50/70/70s/100 users. But certainly about 20+ S2/S3 users are active in Clubsnap.

hmmm
not really understand wat u meant by own little s2/s3 group..

for me i will try to post more under this fujifilm section ... which certainly needs some help..

;)

hmmm I thought 1 GB is around $180? :) Its slightly more expensive but if it writes and reads faster its worth a try.

Cheers~

Actually, 1GB XD cards are between $135-$140 last time i checked, so the price is not the factor. It's just that i've gotten so used to using CFs, i don't see a necessity to switch at this time. My next card will be an XD though.

Great~ is it going for that price at all shops as I remember MS Color was charging much higher defintely. Do you mind sharing where I can obtain some xd cards at that price from?

Cheers! :)

Just came back from Miri trip:

You guys has this problem?:

The pictures cannot be displayed after some time random(camera not on stanby mode)..
have to turn the camera off and on to see again..

The LCD screen's brightness cannot be adjusted.. Exposure(rarely) on the screen does not replicate what had been taken until transfered to PC to view..

Not an issue of the camera... but I lost 1 of the caps(PC terminal).. Anyone knows where and how much to replace it?

Thanks

mmmmm..... S3pro very good price now
