Woo Hoo!!!! My first attempt at developing my own B&W negs at home in Dubai! And I carried 2 bottles of HC-110 and Ilford Rapid Fixer each in my checked in luggage. All that extra weight was worth it!
After years of listening to the constant complaints of my old ball and chain (aka wife) about the two crates of gear doing nothing by take up valuable store room space and collecting dust..........(blah blah blah), I finally gave in and sold all my darkroom gear earlier this year. Doh! <and sound of hand slapping head>. What a dumb thing to do!!
Now, I am getting the itch to start developing B+W again but I've got no gear. My question - is Ruby the only retailer selling B+W gear in Singapore? I dropped by the shop and found that they had a reasonable selection of chemicals and films but hardly any gear. Where else can I buy stuff like Paterson dev tanks, reels, weighted film clips, squeegees etc Kaiser (concertina type) containers etc? Eng says they have an order for some Paterson dev tanks but isn't sure if they'll come in before the end of the year. Anybody know who else sells such stuff in Singapore? Any help would be much appreciated. I will resort to online order from Bhphoto or Adorama only if I cannot find it sold here.
Try...

What does he sell then? Besides Paterson stuff, I'd also like to know what other B&W supplies are available locally.
They sell alot other stuff...
Quite eye-opener...should go check them out

You are right. They do have lots of lovely stuff for darkroom and b+w work. Bought quite a bit of stuff today from the nice saleslady but the Paterson tank still eludes me. They have Jobo though. I've used Jobo tanks before for developing Cibachrome print paper many moons ago. Too easy to end up with a dislodged cap either by not capping it perfectly straight down or by lifting it up by the big bright orange rim. Still the same today. Its ok with paper, you just lose a print which can be done again but not when undeveloped film is involved. Hmmm, looks like I'll be sending an order to BHPhoto soon for the Paterson Universal Tank.
How much will it cost to bring a Paterson Universal Tank in?
Still prefer to process film with one of these instead...
