No 2 is fantastic! Perhaps you can consider to DI away the wooden pole on the left side of the pic.

i understand that it sticks out and know that many would probably think it sticking out free-hanging items should be avoided, that i agree too. but i have some reservation about it - becos without that, the left upper corner will look even more empty. i thought the last pole completes the leading line of the roll of poles and balance the perspective for the left.

note the guy with the jaundiced eyes, the color is not photoshopped away becos i think there is the value of depicting that. perhaps if i could speak hindi, i would ask him not to drink so much alcohol. and i suspect he take betel nut too.....

its not just alcohol, its cheap liquor. its surprising how reliant the lower income folks are, on cheap country liquor every single day. its one way of forgetting life's sorrows and misery, at the end of a day. Sad.
The stained teeth are a result of eating betel nut leaves with some additives including tobacco.

perhaps in the next half of the year somewhere near china. i think there are groups going mongolia in july and east turkmenistan in sep. of cos tibet is always an option from august to october, or szechuan in china as a nearer (maybe cheaper) option.
