someone done with his business as the sun set. bad exposure made. his face is too dark, considering of his complexion already dark.

i'm a non-flash user and i guess i can only do well until i can master flash and do it comfortably at travel, but it is hard to imagine that. it is already embarrassing enough always to squat in front of strangers wondering what are you doing, more so if flash is used. and you know you can't always talk with people and feel more at ease with a stranger to get their portraits done in a more natural way, apart from language differences, the man who walks across would not be holding the things on his head if you are to try to ask for permission or talk with him before shooting. i'm not at ease with the salon style either.

i'm back.

this is pang, a place marked by a few tents with nothing else nearby for hours of drive. my only photograph of the location. i remember i was very unwell with mountain sickness and felt very nauseous. at this resting place, i couldn't get down of the jeep and ask my friends to buy me a few chocholate bars as lunch as i feel i might vomit any other things taken. i took this from the jeep parked by the road "far far away" from pang... with the high altitude and thin air and for the weaker ones, short distances becomes quite long

the mate who bought me the chocholate bars have his good shots of pang too at close distance. see here.

Zoossh,
nice color and composition aside, your lens seems to be very sharp all round even with such WA. May I know what lens did you use and did you do any PP to sharpen it?

sigma 10-20mm. pp done but no sharpening.

but then wide angles are more likely to give wider depth of field, rather than not, and DOF is part of the determinant for sharpness. sigma offers the widest among the third party though krw recommended the new tokina for quality apart from the original nikkor and canon.

but if you are refering to an impression of "sharpness" rather than the actual spatial resolution (the ability to distinguish between two closely spaced objects on an image) ie detail sharpness, it may be tonal or color contrast. i did processing to improve on the two.
