can the moderatores explain why espn is allowed to be re-registered? i thought he has been gotten rid of already? what if all the previous nonsense that he has started is now brewing again? isnt there a safety check that the mods have in place? :thumbsd:

can u do it in PM? at least it won't look so bad on your pettiness and trouble monging.

no. some people dont deserve it. and if he has the guts to re-register, then why bother to put two underscores?

cos he can't use his original nick back. PM the admins will be better cos i doubt they'll see this thread unless someone points it out to them

and let me re-iterate myself. some people DO NOT deserve a second chance. heck, the word "second" is not even correct. its already MORE THAN two times that this particular public nuisance has been warned by the moderators. giving such people a chance only goes to show that punishment for such people is being undermined.

EVERY EFFORT HAS TO BE MADE TO ENSURE THAT A PUBLIC NUISANCE LIKE ESPN CAN NEVER REGISTER EVER AGAIN, IN ANY OTHER FORM, IN THIS FORUM.

THIS IS TO SAFEGUARD THE ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THE FORUM.

IF THIS CANNOT BE ACHIEVED, THEN I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE FORUM AND THE ADMIN . :thumbsd: :thumbsd:

Well, the mods does not need to explain why they let espn to re-register.
After all, we are all here as a guest.

All I can say is, live and let live.

If you say that he don't deserve a second chance, I believe quite a few cases of clones and multiple nicks that don't deserve a second chance at all because they are trying to pull a fast one from fellow photographers. Aren’t we fellow photographers should show some basic courtesy of helping one another instead of trying to cheat fellow photographers and making a quick buck by trying to outbid oneself with another clone nick. You think they deserve a second chance? In fact, my gut feel is that they have done it more than twice for all that you know.

Now espn just came back with a new nick as _espn_, this is not really a new nick actually as his initial of espn is still there. He got courage to show others of his comeback as he got nothing to fear and hide.

As what ernest_ted said, we are all guest here in Clubsnap. What for we need to come to this extend. There is life outside CS. 看开一点.

i believe u once started a poll to de-reg espn.... only to have it backfired on u when other CSers pointed out that u were no better with all ur comments. so, the question back then still remains - shld the mods and admins be fair and de-reg u too?

hiak hiak...

actually, i was wondering how come no welcome party for espn...

and i guess espn did mellow down than previously... with his resources, experience, and a now mellow attitude, i guess we should welcome him... or am i wrong?

anyway, its just slightly over like 3days since he re reg, i guess everybody should give him a chance, a probation period maybe, just reboot your system, and see this as a new beginning...

live and let live. u, user111, shud haf been de-registered sometime back too.

take it easy, add him to ur ignore list and move on.

To all,

The admins and mods will address this concern soon.

I am closing this thread temporarily to prevent unecessary argument.

Please do not start another thread on the same topic.

Thanks!

Our official stand on de-registration and subsequent re-registration is that we de-register a member's account (or nick/userid). We do not ban a person.

De-registered members are allowed to re-register under a new account (a new nick/userid) and will have to abide by the same rules and regulations as before.

Our registration system was closed last week as:-
a) we were moving servers and was testing functionality on the backend.
b) we wanted to deter the de-registered members from re-registering immediately and allow for things to cool down.

The basic tenet is that we will allow persons to have 2nd or even 3rd chances, provided that they abide by the guidelines that is set in the forums. If and when there are violations of the guidelines, then we will deal with them accordingly.

So in summary :-
a) De-registration is for accounts/userids/nicks and not the person.
b) A de-registered member can re-register.
c) If re-registered member does not violate guidelines, he/she is welcome to participate
d) If re-registered member violates guidelines, the account will then be de-registered.
