Actually tell you the story of how we found this eagle. We were driving on the road, and spotted this eagle on a tree. Since two of of the guys in the car has their smaller setup of 300/4 with them, they started shooting. But later the eagle got uncomfortable and flew down to the field. We all got out of the car, I started setting up my tripod. By the time my camera is mounted, the eagle flew away again... So unmount everything again and put back into the back of the car.
So as we drove another km or so down the road, we saw the eagle on another tree again. this time we were really very very careful, moving stealthily to the back of the car to my cam bag. I did not bother with the tripod this time and used my cam and lens handheld. Very heavy as it is a 300/2.8 with 2XTC with D4, plus a stabilization bracket and quick release... shot many shots before the eagle flew, and tracked it in flight and shooting non stop handheld. My arm almost broke...
