the newer sigma 17-70 f2.8-4 should be easier to get..but the old sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5 might be harder since there are no new stocks coming

True... I called OP regarding the stocks and price for Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5, they told me that is the older versions and they have no stocks already. For the newer Sigma 17-70 with OS HSM... it will set u back for $700.

about 2 months ago i inquired with Ray at SLRR on the 17-70. he initially said no stock but contacted me a few days later to say there is stock. i dunno about now if still avalable but yes its about $700plus.

i just saw a couple of Tammy 17-50 f2.8 recently on B&S...

I've searched Ebay. Black ones go for less than $300, Coloured ones are more than $400. I've not called our local shops yet.

This could be an alternative lens for my Oly Pen.

doesnt seem to make sense to have a DA 50f1.7 since there is already a FA 1.7 (tho i think not in production anymore)..they just need to produce that again and FA 1.7 body is already plastic

I think the Samsung one is no longer Pentax KA mount. They are Samsung NX mount now. Not compatible.

No good one. Moves out of f2.8 very early... once you are not at 17mm length it is won't be f2.8. Some got focusing issue too.

Question....

If I have Tamron 17-50mm F2.8, is it still worth getting the DA 35f2.4? with a half f-stop difference, does it make a lot of difference on IQ and Bokeh?
