I am new in DSLR photography. In fact, i have set my mind in getting a D90.
May i know where can i get a good deal with 18-105mm VR and 55-200mm VR lenses? Comes with accessories like 8GB, Dry Cabinet, Bag and Triport are also preferred.
Also where is this John 3:16 retail?
Due to a tight budget, i hope i can stretch my dollar in my hefty investment.

If you intend to get 18-105 and 55-200, i would advice you to get the 18-200 instead.
John 3:16's webbie is here. It's located at Funan IT Mall level 5. I recommend this shop. I bought my D90 kit from them. Great customer service and buying experience

Is it true that when purchasing Nikon cameras like DSLR D90, it does not come with Nikon bag? Does all retail or distributor do the same?
I feel it is strange if i purchase a Nikon product especially a medium premium grade camera and it does not come with a Nikon bag.
Also, does Nikon manufacture it's own tripod? I am getting a D90 this week end and i hope to gather as much info as possible.

Some retailers do give out bags, as yes Nikon does produce tripod too.
But i guess most ppl out there would buy another bigger bag and much sturdy tripod.

that's true. the freebies are usually crap (not all, but most). btw, have u seen the nikon bag? it's so freaking ugly with the metal buckles, not to mention heavy (as it is made of leather). my advise is to get the d90 kit, with or without the bag (since it's free, you're not losing anything) and get yourself a lowepro bag. i got a brand new lowepro from the b&s section at a really good price. you can sell off the nikon bag. anyway, that's just my suggestion

Yup, i got the leather bag too.
Its still unused and in the plastic wrapper.
Got myself a Lowepro instead.
But i still using the freebie Nikon tripod, no extra money to get a Manfrotto or Slik.

kenko Pro 1D good, B+W also, 50+
Filter now not important to DSLR, just to protect lens

Cheap UV filters are not that good in quality, and will worsen the images that your lens produces. Why spend so little on filters on an expensive and good quality lens, only to make the IQ worse??
B+W is generally among the best, but Hoya is also good.

As she is vistor, she can get GST refund from purchasing, only problem is she will be here from HKG by air and out by road to Malaysia, how could she claim back gst in this case?
Could I buy it for her first and reqeust gst refund form or must I waiting until she landed?
