there lot of portrait lens available in the market depend on your budget n suit ur need such as 50mm f1.8 (cheap n good), 50mm f1.4, 80mm f1.8, 80mm f1.4 and many more...you can notice that all this is prime lens and it great nice bokeh n shape the object is.

i own 50mm f1.4d n i always mounted it on my d90. loving it so much...af god damm fast!!:heart:

i reckon bang-for-buck-wise, can't go very wrong with the nifty fifty ---> AF-D 50/1.8...brand-new around 180 to 200 bucks...sweet little lens and oh so useable in many situations...

3 questions:

With ADR on, is it normal to see noise at iso 200 in shadows?

My auto-rotation is turned on, but when shot vertically, the preview image is not rotated...(IGNORE THIS...SOLVED)

What is your standard JPEG setting? E.g. sharpness, saturation ... etc...

Or did the battery went flat?

You can try:
1) Charging your battery
2) Detach and reattach your lens, also check contact points
3) Remove and put back your SD card

If all else fail, there's NSC for you.

Based on previous IT shows, i don't think the prices are going to be attractive.
Most of them are selling at RRP, except they give you some free gifts.
IMO, its still better if you go to shops like Cathay or MSC to purchase your camera.

alamak bros don't like that lah.. i tried setting the iso back to auto.. i think i put the fixed iso too low (80).. hai.. that's inherited from my pns skills.. sorry bros and thanks..

btw.. i heard the MB-D80 grip has issue with the D90.. MS told me.. any bros have this problem??

btw bros.. what bags will you recommend?? i was eyeing the kattas as they have a wider selection with notebook compartment.. and very good protection (hardcover).. lowepro are soft..

Nope, do not have a battery grip.
But this is the 1st time i heard the grip is not compatible with D90.
Yup, all D90 are made in Thailand, as well as the 18-105 kit lens.

no doubt compatible.. but feedback was there was problem with the connector or something that the trigger button on the grip does not work well..

Basic accessories IMO that are "crucial" are:
- Dry cabinet
- Tripod
- Filter

The rest can wait.
