welcome to the darkside parekoyz!
haha enjoy learning and shooting with it
Thank you. Ya learning... doing alot of testing...
Q1) Can any senior share with us what lenses for what purpose...
example: wide angle - for landscape etc... thanks.
Q2) Going to buy the crumpler 5million but after doing some research notice that it is abit small for future upgrading so it is true that 6million is a better choice for me...???
Q3) I just brought my 50mm f1.8 notice that the picture is sharper than the kits lens. Is it true???

already 3 weeks i bought my D90 and still cant figure it out. why u all say "welcome to the dark side"? maciam like darth vader...
1) To be honest, there's no such thing as "what lens for what purpose", it depends on HOW you want to use the lens. Do search online (i.e. google) and read up on photography books/magazines.
Thanks for the comments tkbonz. I totally agreed what you means by "no such thing on what lens for what purpose". Just want to see whether what lenses the senior used. I read some book they normally use wide angle lens for landscape...but of cos u are right too.
2)A bigger bag is always better provided you intend to fill it up soon. Personally don't really like crumpler camera bags, too pricey and flashy (i.e. attract unwanted attention)
Thanks for your comment
3) Yes of course its sharper. There's a reason why a prime lens is a prime lens and why a kit lens is labelled a kit lens. You want really sharp? Try f2.8 upwards to around f4 on your 50 f1.8, its tack sharp.
Reason 1: Certain Canon lenses, usually the teles, are usually whitish in colour so its the "light side". Whereas, almost all Nikon lenses have black finishing, denoting the "dark side"
Reason 2: When the D3 first came out, it became the first camera to shoot almost practically in the dark...hence the moniker. (This reason is less used)

Reason 3: D90 TVC show a Zorro-like riding a black horse in an almost dark environment hence the dark side.
