Awesome. Don't let us catch you asking stupid questions that could be answered by reading the manual.

i never read manual yet... as i got a ex D90 user to tell me but even telling me in person is not easy to learn all at one go.. so better read up which i will do so later... haha..

Hi Everybody,

I have just got the D90 less than a month. Haven't use much of the D90 coz have been busy at work and also just completed reservist. However have been reading the manual and would love to join in outings with fellow users.

haha. all rounder? 18-200 but anything can be an all rounder i guess (24-70) depends on budget and what suits ur shooting needs!

hmm ideally a good bokeh is one where ur non-focusing points are smooth and soft! sth like blurring and fuzzyness?

Bokeh

In photography, bokeh is the blur,[1][2] or the aesthetic quality of the blur,[3][4][5] in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light."[6] Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye, while others produce blurring that is unpleasant or distracting— "good" or "bad" bokeh, respectively.[1] Bokeh occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions.

any recommendation on accessories to protect the camera?

Just be mindful when using the camera. Secure it when shooting, over the neck, or warp the strap around your right arm. Take a bit more care, and it will last a long long time with you.

And get a dry cab. Store your camera and lens in it when not shooting.

how abt filter? i heard from my friend that it can protect the lens

Hi all,
