1/16 or 1/100 is too slow to capture any moments in sports, perhaps 1/250 or faster would be better
hey guys.. i encounter a error when i tried videoing with d90..
it record for about 10plus second then it says error and it hanged.. with the green led lit up..
is it because my memory card too slow?
hi,
jus joined the d90 group. bought it ytd
hi all... liked to check how to see the shutter count for my D90???
is it dark? low light?
That I never take note. Do you mean that if it's in low light situation, the sports mode will automatically adjust its shutter speed to a low (slow) one to let more light in?
I'll be mindful of that the next time I use sports mode. Thanks!
Ok guys,
Yesterday i shoot some photos in low light condition in raw, however when i upload to nikon viewNX and tried to change to jpeg, it stated " An unexpected error has occured ".....can advice if it is the software problem or the photo i took got problem???...
the average shutter count for Nikon D90 is about 100,000 times... for Canon EOS system is about 50,000 times ... so it's doubled... if not mistaken..
to maintain the value of the camera.. you will need to send it for inspection and service once every 2 - 3 years..if it reaches and the shutter system is dead then.. then send in for servicing and they will replace the shutter system.. if not wrong again.. pls correct if i'm wrong..
i just got my D90 yesterday too!!so excited!! just shifted from Canon.. hahaha... anyone knows the exact way to checj the shutter count? juz asking if there's any way..

Hi All,
I am looking at cable release for D90.
nikon website says D90 will need to use MC-DC2.
My question is "Can D80's MC-DC1 be use on D90?"
What is the diff between MC-DC1 & MC-DC2?

ya i seconded to that.. only if need be then use live view.. if not u will always find that most of the time, if not all the time.. the image produced under live view is not as sharp or focus as those taken through the viewfinder
When using live view mode, got to ensure that the shutter speed is good enough to avoid handshake blur because the support is not better than placing the camera towards your face. It is like rifle firing
I find the live view mode really useful when doing manual focus with the magnification done on the focus spot. Provided u r taking something static and can afford to take your time to focus.
look up post #26 --- "Download Opanda IExif. Open the latest image and check the exif, there should be a Shutter Count field. " by lsisaxon
