well after 2 days of usage with the squeaky lens and at the end of the day back to the dry box , and suprisingly the sound soften , at least it sounds normal to me now..

If I may ask, why Darkside? :D :D

because almost all cameras and lenses that Nikon made is black, compared to the other side with many white lenses.

and, Nikon is currently the King of the Dark in the market.. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

well don't know is just me or what. feel the squeak sound. maybe just need season a bit?

presto:

to freeze the action, use higher shutter speed.

you probably have to increase the iso. 320 is too low for night events.

For D90, up the ISO to 800 or 1600, the image is still good. That will buy you 1-2 stops. I'd suggest using AF-S mode and lock your focus where you want it rather than guessing if it's focusing properly. If you're zoomed in most of the time, then you'll have a tough time. Zoom out and go closer to the subject. Otherwise, get a 35/1.8 for such lighting conditions.

im scared of the noise so i try to go in btw the iso...so i chose 320...tink a bad idea to guess.
think next shop i will up it to 800..

im afraid of dark pics thats y i dint use higher shutter and i got nt mch time to change setting..first time shot moving pics.

af-s ...ermm tink i got to go read manual abt it...nto sure wats tat ...thanx

erm i not zooming.jus using 18mm most of the time..
another qn...what kind of flash setting shd i use..im use the rear flash setting..or shd i set it to normal flash setting...

seeing my picture realli frstrate me nw..

thanx all...

Yes read your manual. Don't be too upset over it. practice makes perfect.

AF-S is AF-Single mode.

Flash you can leave it as auto first, use front curtain sync.

Master your camera exposure settings first.

front curtain sync means the normal kind ah...will it be too harsh on the subject as they are quite near to me..

Can you post a couple of them here with the EXIF information intact? So we can roughly know how bad the lighting is and what advice to give you.

I get what you meant by squeaky lens sound. I'm getting it too. hahaha :(
It seems to be an on and off thingy and is definitely coming from the lens.

i checked with places like ms color and alan photo..
price with gst cash only is like $1580 leh..

$1450 not bad a deal..
gst inclusive?

Yes, MS Color and Alan Photo is slightly higher. is inclusive of gst. :D

It is the sound of the VR working la. :bsmilie:

If no sound come from your lens when VR is on, then it is bigger problem...

If it is not VR, then it is sound from the motor lor. It is the pin drop theory. In a quiet place, soft sounds will feel very loud. In noisy places, you will not even hear it.

btw thanks for editing your post to remove pricing info.
