Hi all,
I plan to buy Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX for my D90 during my July trip to Hong Kong.
Any idea if buy the lens in HK, does it come with international warranty?

If I am not wrong tokina come with a 2 year international warranty.

D90 is like hot cake now. Everywhere no stocks. hehe

I just bought my D90 and I've paired it with an 18-200mm. I've heard about problems with flash with this lens mounted, is there any way to overcome this problem?

problem is i believe with the shadow cast by the lens because of the length, the only way to solve is either, do not use flash on 18mm, i'm not exactly sure until which focal length will the shadow disappear... or use a speedlight ;)

Hey D90 people,

I have an 18-200mm. Do u think i should keep my 18-200 to use with the D90 or sell it and use the 18-105 VR kit lens. Do you go beyond the 105 when videoing? I am getting the D90 primarily for video.

Hi everyone,

apart from the flickering of the flourescent light when using video, are there any other similar issues under otehr lighting conditions?

Hi people,

I need to ask you how come my mac can't detect my camera when i plug it in via USB? I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.7 using Macbook pro (early 2008)

Your help is greatly appreciated. :)

Do you intend to always use a tripod for video? Otherwise there is no way you can keep it steady enough for video handheld at those focal length.

Can someone email me the high res file for D90? Any file would do, i just want to check how gd/ bad the CA (Chromatic Abberiation) is?

Hi peeps,

Found out what's the problem liao. The new series of camers doesn't support mass storage anymore that's why it doesn't mount onto OS X desktop. Got the answer from Nikon technical support. Hope this piece of infor will be useful to those who is using Mac OS X with D90 or any new Nikon series of cameras. :)

So, long story short. If you wanna transfer or view photos on your mac, you have to either open it in iPhoto (or Image capture) or Nikon transfer software to do the job.

Cheers! :)

hey may i know where you all bought ur d90

i went to all shops and it is sold out..and worst of all meet such a BAD SERVICE from john 3:16...

went there after seeing so many positive review abt them...good cust service..like real..

Hey bro,

I got mine from Best Denki Parkway ( the price is slightly expensive). I've also been looking high and low for this camera and like you said, all out of stock. lucky can find one. You can try Cathay Photo if you want. I think they may still have stock. I found out only when I got it.. zzzz. Din really do my homework well enough.. :P

Anyway, good luck on your hunting for the D90, if you haven't got it yet.

No offence JacePhoto, but i'd recommend you purchase a video camcorder for that purpose and sell the D90 to the other bro who is looking for one to take pics with.

IMO, although the D90 does comes with video capabilities, it's afterall still a DSLR which is designed for pictures instead of recording vids.

The 18-200mm is a very versatile lens to work with - literally saves you the trouble of carrying 2 lens (18 - 55, 55- 200). the 200mm zoom allows you to capture ppl from a distance. To keep or to switch depends on your shooting/recording habits - camper/sniper or the frontliner.

Did you mount the lens hood in front? There are other threads from users complaining on this problem. Refrain from mounting the lens hood if you're shooting with the built-in flash, it is known to cause a shadow.

well, you seem to think that D90 should be kept as a camera. strange...
