ahh !
i've had it for sometime. rotting in my dry cab. was so into it for awhile and National Slavery took all my time and interest away..
i found it hard to get to use my camera again.. its frustrating when i dont know the controls and end up taking lousier photos than my iPhone ! this always happen in night..
oh ya, since im on it, what do u guys do to stop the popup flash from popping out, but have no flash unit as well ? increase/decrease exposure/ISO ?
if theres an newbie outing pls let me know ! imma ORD LOH !
be patient and learn slowly.
First learn some basics about photography, so when you read/hear terms like aperture, shutter speed, etc you won't be :dunno:
then play around with the camera whilst having the manual handy.
Do some self-experimentation. It's a digital camera, so you get INSTANT feedback.
Adjust something; take a shot; adjust something else; take another shot.
Try to keep all the other variables constant. A tripod helps greatly.
Once you review the results, you should be able to make some connection between settings and result.
After this, you should have at least some 'foundation', then when you join us for an outing, you won't be totally lost. We can guide you along, but only as far as we know. We are no experts.
* If you are in 'AUTO', or any of the 'Scene' modes, the camera makes many decisions for you. But if you are in one of the slightly more advanced modes (P, A, S, M), the pop-up flash will not pop-up anyhow unless you physically push the button. You're left a bit more on your own, basically...
