wah the how you control your SS and EV?

Say i wanna have less DOF for more bokeh, and i choose to use f2. If the shutter speed calculated by the camera still isnt fast enough for what i am shooting, then i bump up my iso till i get the shutter speed that i want. For EV in A mode its calculated for you ma, can make use of the EV compensation to get what you want. When shooting bright colours like white + EV, when shooting dark colours like black -EV

LOL!~ :bsmilie: You're evil!

hmmm. then go for the primes. mayb you want to let us know your budget and you preference for portrait shots? some primes will be too tight on a crop body.

what do u mean by some primes will be too tight on a crop body? D90 is a crop body?

D90 is a crop body my friend! its not a full frame unlike D700, D3.

so 50mm = 50 x 1.6 = 80mm effective focal range on a D90.

So to get a effective 50mm focal range, u can consider 28mm 30mm, 35mm.

ohh.. but 28,30,35 will be much more $$ right?

pls get ur fact correct before u advise.
nikon crop factor is 1.5....
canon is 1.6.

i realized why u say i was thin in another thread cause of this

Urm... unrelated topic - it is mere coincidence lah. You think too much! :bsmilie: Reason being Ang Mohs generally eat a bigger portion than us puny asians...

He must be a Canoner... :bsmilie:

But no excuse for misinformation leh... Even Nikoners know Canon uses 1.6 on their crop.

Wa why everyone reaction so big!? I think he simply remembered it wrongly.

if im gonna get a 50mm 1.8, even though i have a 67mm UV filter for my kit lens, i should still get a 52mm filter right?

Well I may have over-reacted, my apologies for that. But definitely need to be corrected and remembered well... or else, what if next time slipped pass undetected? :bsmilie:

That goes for me also mah, if I do spurt out the wrong facts I would rather those experienced ones correct me right away! Sometimes there are times that I think I know yet I don't!... No offense intended peeps!

Need to bring out the mistake mah. wait newbies learn the wrong things. Just like how he probably learn it wrongly from some other person...

The vicious cycle must end here.

I dun always look at signatures leh... :bsmilie: My bad. But since on Nikon... should know it's 1.5 right? I said should only... not must, okay? :bsmilie:

too tight means.... too tight. LOL. I don't really know how to explain, other than tt the FOV will feel narrow and tight.

and yes, primes like the 20mm, 24mm or 35mm cost more than the 50mm f1.8. Actually, the 50mm f1.8 is the cheapest prime tt I can think of.

GUYS! OT LIAO!
