poison detected! for pp i only know how 2 crop lol.still got lots of other stuffs to learn. i think learning to remove extra unwanted stuffs in the picture would be good. Not sure what the term to describe it is.
Well, develop a habit of shopping for prices. I've already "registered" a list of useful phone numbers on my HP whenever I'm on a hunt for lenses.
Tokina 11-16mm was on my consideration list before I went for my current UWA, hence I'm quite familiar with the current prices... When I saw you lao nua at 1069... my expression went::bigeyes:!
Second Tok 11-16mms can go as low as 800 to 850 I think... Consider hard hard..
ok i saw tt. I tried using it but... I failed. I don't know how to do it.:embrass: going to organise PP outing? haha

Used to be you can get Tokina in HK for around 800-850.
But I rather get in SG. Then no problems when you get it serviced with CP, who is the agent for Tokina in Singapore.
I don't need to tell DD123 anything...Safer no doubt, a peace of mind. I'm sure ZCA will tell you that lenses are tougher than they seem - very true... but nobody can vouch for QC issues... The worse of all, we don't get to enjoy any recalling program like automobile users... :bsmilie:
a screen capture on my office PC. I used your photo from the D90 outing... hope that's ok.

notice that the sides are lost, so need to allow additional space when shooting...
I'm sure there are other better options. It's not perfectly straight as well. Near enough if you're not too fussy...
Just downloaded ViewNX 2... too bad no distortion control function... :bsmilie:
No wonder I couldn't do it yesterday la... I shift the corners on to the corners of the building I want to correct. End up the image messy like nobody's business and I pek cek until want smash my monitor. Haha.
Good enough for me alr. So I have to crop out the sides as well right? Thanks god got helpful people like you guys around. If not I think I will 冲动 go enrol for some course. Haha
You can try PTLens. It comes as a trial version for 10 images I think.
Other software with distortion control:
GIMP (Free)
Photoshop
Lightroom 3
PTLens
How much for the course....? ah-hem.... so you know what to do when we next meet up eh?
edit: I don't quite understand what you mean by "shift the corners on to the corners of the building..." :dunno:
I also don't know how much. I didn't check. Ok lah i know. Coffee or tea? Or me?
Er. You know when you select perspective distortion? You will have the 4 corners that you can shift around. I shifted them to the corners of the building. Smart right...

Seriously guys, it's only a simple coaching, no need to go that far as to offer your body... :bsmilie: OT again guys, keep to the subject!!!
I don't need your body. Just your D90. :bsmilie:
You offering your D90 "body"?:bsmilie:
No way guys!! I'm loving my D90! But DD123 why do you need a D90? I thought you gave it away?
