am I still allowed to do the Markins dance???

so what issues has anyone had with their D90, or is this thread just for poisoning?

Hey, I thought of a new tagline for why D90 is by far the best beginner's DSLR...
"Having the support of a bunch of enthusiastic (and sometimes crazy) bunch of owners: PRICELESS"

all that IS, VR, OIS EVF, etc etc etc cannot hold a candle to this, eh?

whahahaha! sounds so MasterCard!

hello guys

a small question, yesterday i went to shoot sunrise, and i was using multiple exposure, i set it to 3 shots, auto gain off so i get to set the exposure myself. i found out that, every time after 3 shots, i have to go back to the menu to turn on the multiple exposure again for the next 3 shots. Is it suppose to be this way?
as you all know, sunrise only last a while, so going back to the menu to turn on and start shooting is quite troublesome.

ok this one i got to admit. I still don't know how to use this multiple exposure thing

:bsmilie: Thanks for reminding me to test it out! Goodness I brought the question out and then missed it entirely myself...

Have you thought about assigning to the Func button? Place it on top of the menu? It will help save going back into the menu I think...

Next time we attend the D90 outting, may I suggest that you and me sit right next to skylover, and then we take out our Markin's so that he can see them in both corners of his eyes, deal? ;)

Oh my god? i don't even know i can do that... LOL

anyway, you guys should totally try it out, merging 3 exposure shot, the final picture is nice actually. little or no PP needed. but of course, you have to set the exposure correctly. i tried it many times before getting a good picture. HAHA

anybody knows how to do manual exposure blending?

Regarding the Func button, go right to the start of this thread, ZCA has kindly posted the steps to get it right.

Will try the multiple exposure soon, I wanna try it for myself too.

For convenience... (I blame you guys for filling so many pages in between...)

=============
For configuring the 'Fn' button to call up 'My Menu', set menu f3 <Assign FUNC. button> to
"Access top item in MY MENU"

then if pressing the Fn button has no response, don't worry... camera is not faulty :)

Open the menu and go to the bottom tab on the left.
Playback
Shooting
Custom Setting
Setup
Retouch
My Menu / Recent Settings <----- This one

under that menu, look for 'choose tab' and set it to 'My Menu'
after that, populate the list according to preference. For me, I've set the top item of My Menu to be the c3 - self timer.
reason is that I often turn bracketing on, so I set the self-timer function to shoot more than 1 exposure.

voila! DONE!
