i actually wanted to test D60 and D90 but they dun seems to want to let me test. Therefore i make a quick decision to snap up the D90 ba. Cos Ms colour there no more stock le haiz
Gosh! You still havent bought your D90. Just buy in any of the recommended shop with competitive prices instead of suffering emotionally when it is out of stock.
I don't know why but john seems to like comparing D90 and the 500D. Went there ytd and the sales guy keep tell me (and my dad) that 500D is actually better.. But in price actually. D90's package there is 1690. Package only comes with the body and the 18-105 lens. Only. But for the Canon, it comes with the long kit lens, and with enough surplus money to buy the 50mm.
IMO, D90 and 500D isn't on par. after all after looking at the functions, I think D90 certainly makes a more versatile model.
I'm beginning to think that john's (so called) excellent customer service is only applicable to Canon buyers.
maybe they wan to maintain it as a NEW set bah... so I guess the shutter count is 0 ?
Same experience here. I was asking for Nikon D90 but no stock at John.
Then the sales guy suggested "Why not consider Canon?".
I think the below link is showing good comparison between Canon 500D & Nikon D90.

So the choice is yoursCheers!
yup, I saw that review before making up my mind about my purchase. so, besides sharper pics, lower price and higher MP, i dun see how the 500d is better than d90's better user functions, classic SLR look (i feel this is at least how any decent SLR should look) and solid build.
I heard that salespeople dislike selling nikon stuff because the margin is razor thin.
