Anyone familiar with the relation between Nikon price in US and SG?

Nikon rumors mentioned might have a chance d800 drop price in us. Just wondering if I should wait awhile before grabbing one.

Prices for D800/E are already coming down.

The Nikon AF-S 17-55mm DX lens is capable of shooting in FX mode without major vignetting from 26mm. In other words, it is an effective 26-55mm f/2.8 lens.

Whats the point of a great camera and not spending accordingly on the most important things.... your glass ! :dunno:

If one can take good picture with a "bad lens", that's a good lens to him.....................

Doesn't matter....event shoot. Don't need 36MP. 15MP is more than enough.

Maybe because it doesn't make any sense? RAW should be a direct dump of the sensor data. You would need to process it first in order to reduce it from my understanding.

Btw did Nikon add an option to switch off the DoF preview in LV in any recent firmware update or is it still always engaged?

Do u guys shoot in medium size tiff rather than in raw? Does tiff contain the same amount of info as Raw?

TIFF is sort of like a glorified uncompressed JPEG.

Just tried it, it can be used! But for such high-end cameras, we recommend class 10 because class 4 cards can slow down your system.

Definitely. No point in using a D800 class camera with a class 4 SD card, lol.
