There's no such thing as experts.

Just go shoot more, get to know more people learn from one another more important.

no such person as pro too! :bsmilie:
we are all learning as we go along! ;)
the more one shoots, learns, discuss, displays a +ve attitude, the faster one grows.
the D70s is a  starting cam to help you thru this long (and expensive  ) journey!

I need some advice on the tripod !!! Which brand or modle is the most suitable for D70S and for ladies. I got a free tripod while getting the camera , it's quite light but 1 disadvantage is that i need to turn manually . I need to hold the tripod and keep turning round and round , at the end i got a round stratch on the base of the camera. My budget is around
Sgd100-150.

Your budget is a tad low for a good tripod that will last you along your upgrade path + support.

You might want to invest more and think carefully what you want to support MAXIMUM in the future.

agree with _espn_'s reply above. with that kind of budget, you'll only get a reasonable ballhead that can support your setup as it develops.
do keep a lookout in the B&S sub forum for some deals to be had. e.g. recently :
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=217497&highlight=manfrotto and

You might want to consider Slik Pro 330DX. My wife is using that and she's happy with it. We got that for $122. By the way, she's also using D70s.;)

can go Lords, CP ot TK Foto and try them out for yourself to see which suits your needs. if you have a bigger budget, do invest and i use the word "invest" in a good setup that'll guide you through your hobby, which is also an investment by itself ;)

You would want to allocate 300++ for a good setup that will last.

055 is too heavy for her lah
190 more like it,

it would depend on what you will be shooting
and how you are going to use the tripod

You don't know her height yet, 190 is light, but 055 is taller. There's the MF version fortunately, but it doesn't come cheap.

those examples were the recent trades from the B&S not saying that she should get a 055. that's why i did suggest that she goes and try them out for herself. ;)
