If you mean whether the max time for the cam to stay in remote mode is 30s?

Ans: Nope, BOTH D70s and D50 have a custom setting of max 15mins for the remote mode.

And if you mean the longest exposure time- 30s for both but you can set to BULB (unlimited time-depends on battery power))

I am more looking forward to D50 now.
AP D50 quote seem the best now unless there is a MO.
Saving of $346.50 and Some more saving over the memory card as I got 2 X 1GB SD
from my FZ20.
Getting my money ready now and buy buy buy anytime...:sweat:

In KL, d70s lowest RM3.5k but no stock in K.L, i'm not sure about the rest of the states. d50 lowest RM3.0k, negotiable at foto Shangrila. At price for kit lens.

my guess its abt the same price as the canon kit lens (similar ranged too). mebbe ard $90, based on BnS prices of the canon kit lens.

actually, if it doesn't bother u dat much, why not keep the kit lens? pretty decent travel lens as its short, light and compact.

Just got myself a D50 from Funan at $1418 nett, and collected the 1G SD card and bag from Nikon service center.

The Kit lens is nowhere compare to the D70 Kit lens, it feels like a plastic toy:angry: . Will be happy to sell for $100 if anyone interested.:dunno: This D50 now is fitted with my spare Sigma 18-125.

D50 is much lighter than D70, and missing the front Dial, other than that it feels very much similar to D70.:thumbsup:
