D7000 users (Part 4)

Still got my D7000, it's my first dslr. I think I 'm going to have it for a long time, as I'm still learning photography. Just got myself sigma 17-50 f2.8. Great combo but soft at 17mm f2.8. Planning to get it check in sigma service cntre for calibration or something.

I am still faithfully using my D7000. won't be upgrading yet till it breaks down.

I'm still here. 1st DSLR as well, and it's been 1yr 7 months since it came to me. Will hold on to it for at least the next 3 years, then get a FX maybe? and keep this as the 2nd body.

He he wait till you when to FX that time & you must thinking to get another DX body for backup :)

I am hoping it to be come true as the pricing when down and get the 2nd hand use set as my others purpose use.

In the world now, no others Nikon DSLR and just like it D7000 and lightweight design + higher ISO and 16MP with clean images output.
No yellowish processing image & 100% VF too.

Thanks to Nikon with my everyday life's with Nikon gear!

I am still holding on to my D7000 as it is only 5 months old & I am loving it. I don't dare to change to another one at this very moment.......budget is superly tight......

I'd rather save the money for lens/flash instead of upgrading :) D7000 is good enough for me :)

Lightyear2011, HighTone, SkimMilk, Jintanz Maniz and Weiwu Lah, - very sensible sentiment. There is always a time for everything. Your camera's capabilities would not be changing in the meantime.

Enjoy your cameras.

My highly recommended for upgrade an AF-S 28mm f/1.8G as no regret when to be mount on the D7000 and just like a perfect match combo..

Ha ha

Not to mention that there are now many good deals on bodies, lens, flashes and what nots with all the others rushing to upgrade to FF. I am also staying put with my D7000 as I find that it is within my needs and I have already got the lenses I want in my bag. Its not a destination but an ongoing journey the way we should see it. The FF will come along naturally with the next upgrade so there is not need to take a big penalty hit by unloading your otherwise perfectly good and competent system by jumping on the FF wagon. Those who are already due for upgrading with their old DX bodies by all means should do so.

I agree with u..now looking into good lens that fits my needs....still thinking should get brand new or used ones...

I wanted to upgrade to FX when the D600 has come out. Actually that is what I want and not what I need. Then I decided to stay with my 2 DXs - D200 & D7000. I'll rather save the lenses than upgrading FX.

Cheers

Hi, I'm really enjoying mine... After 1 yr and 4 months of owning my D7k, I added sigma 17-50mm f2.8 to my lens arsenal... my other (only) lens is the 50mm f1.8g... at the rate of my purchasing power (and saving) I think my next lens, 70-200 VR II, will become mine three years from now... so for FF, that will be 5 or 6 yrs from no hahahaha...

Why not buy used FX lenses for your DX body? Doing so, you get the best out of your DX system at lower costs and if you decide to move to FX later, you have the lenses ready.

I sent it yesterday morning for calibration. I called up first last mon. I was there at 9:30am then I got back my camera and lens around 3pm. Now they are tack sharp in any focal lengths. Calibration is free if under warranty. It's troublesome to take a leave at work but it's worth it. Give them a call first.

Easier way to confirm is to check shutter count, you have to bring a laptop down though.
