Wah. That's alot of cameras!

Just sent my D7000 for general service..initial plan for sensor cleaning only, but the lady at the service counter said my sensor was too dirty..have to do general servicing instead which will take approximately 2 weeks..oh well..

Lucky still have few months warranty left..

I am going to get my sensor cleaned soon too, suspect it is suffering from oil leak problems.:(

when did u purchase your unit?

How to tell if there is oil leak problem.. Which batch is affected.. Mine is end march 2011..

I dunno also lol... but im planning to buy so i want to know if new batch also encounter it...

It's not a batch issue. It's not really a common issue. If you notice spots on your pictures, then you'll have to check ur 'sensor' (actually the low pass filter) for dirt / oil spots. If the spots persistently return (different position n that it's not dust), then u can consider that an oil leak issue.

This is to the best of my understanding. Experts, if I got it wrong, pls correct me. :)

Mine is from a relatively early batch (bought April 2011), so far so good. *cross fingers*
