The saturation can be set in the menu.

Try to change the picture control, there are some preset setting (vivid, portrait, etc). Those presets could be adjusted further to your own likeness (hue, saturation, sharpness, etc)

yep I agree... I usually bump up saturation, and sharpness by +1 or 2 depending on the picture control i am using and the desired output.

The lens plays a part too.. With vivid jpeg setting.. I get better colors with my 50 f1.4 than with my 28 f2.8.. Never owned kit lens before, so can't comment..

Then wat is interesting?

If they were to bundle with a Nikon 18-200mm VR 2 for the same or similar price, maybe it will light up some of those who wants to join the DSLR bandwagon. It's the same old bundle tried during 3rd quarter PC show and succeeded getting people to buy.
Seriously, those package that are given by megastore is really just so-so. Just becos they look entirely different than what street is offering doesn't mean they are better. Ultimately, you are still paying a little more for the freebies that you cannot choose.
I've yet to see any camera offer from any megastore that are really interesting....

I have some good news to share.
Hercules battery grip's dial are NOT reversed.
Plus SGCameraStore is on a one-day sale sellin the grip at 68

yeap. i also bought a SB700 from SLR revo on Sunday, and the following Monday SGCameraStore had 1-day sale for SB700 going at $350. Nearly cried :(

Dun need to cry, did you check if it's grey set or local warranty? There's always some catch to cheaper items.
