Hi samueltan99,
Any chance of having a similar group buy for the Nikon D5100 when it is available here in Singapore ?
Thanks !
;p:thumbsup:
Bro I think you rather grab D7000 than D5100 since D7000 is higher range than D5100.
Don't get me wrong. The biggest carrot head was the 5% standard chartered. returned my $115 bucks. so effectively the other things only sold for $319. very easy since according to my quote, I supposedly only kept the nikon travel bag. so dry cabi ($120) prime ($180ish) 8gbcard ($15) handstrap ($20) kata bag ($80) filters ($40) umbrella ($10) cleaning kit ($5) + cashback ($115) I effectively saved $585 bucks. These prices stated are very realistic prices that have been successfully used to sell the products. Of course its all approximate and I did not chop any carrots by overpricing anything. $2299-$585 = $1714 (kit lens set + nikon travel bag +1x8gb sandisk card). These are nothing special, just the product of careful planning and grabbing the opportunity of the IT fair deal which you first claimed was bad, so I felt that I needed to correct you because the actual fact is, although trouble has to be made to sell off the extra useless freebies (just like how nikon brace bag is useless), I am definitely proving that IT fair deal was a way better deal, even for an experienced photographer who wants things cheap. Do tell me if you spot any carrot chopping in my prices.

Enjoy said:50mm prime - $180
Dry cabi - $120
and bla bla bla.......
Wow, u are indeed a great seller! I had so much trouble selling my brand new 18-105mm for a mere $300. Not really worth the effort i must say.
Anyway, the 5% rebate by stand chart is called Manhattan card. U would need to spend $3000 in a single statement to qualify for that. It's the best cash rebate card available here in sgp. That said, it's NOT a direct rebate. You still need to spend $701 to hit the $3000. Banks are no idiot, if they can provide this rebate, they can get back at least twice of this amount but let's not get into that.
Guys, no point talking about it. If one think he got a good deal, why bother? Take out D7000 and shoot more lar.![]()
Ppl needs to see the whole picture. He had indeed save $115 overall with all the selling and sourcing for buyers. It's a great thing for him.
But without knowing these, would ppl understand the hassle if he didn't share his experience. He's lucky I must say. Imagine if everyone buy and sell freebies like the way he do, how many can make actual sales. There will be so many 50mm, bags and other accessories flooded into BnS. Eventually they will be forced to under cut each other to make sale. Considering all these. Buying from IT show still does not make sense.

guys sorry for bringing up this qns again but would a class 6 mem card suffice for D7000 or its safer to go class 10. My friend was telling me not taking video Class 6 more than enough.
he is perhaps limited by his budget?
