collected my D7k from H, thanks samueltan99 for organizing this!

However I have a question for fellow d7k buyers:

How long is the warranty period? The salesman told me the warranty is one year and asked me to register online.

Is this correct??

Hi guys i got my d7k today and im so glad i bought it! was previously on d90 and this camera is amazing! stellar image quality at iso 100-400 and usable up to 3200!! Oh man this camera makes me wanna invest in some lenses!! Any of u using the grip? Is it a worthy investment? how much did u all pay for it

Actually I have the same question. What makes it "usable". What other function does a tripod have aside from propping the camera up/down?

The only factor I took into consideration when I bought my last one was the minimum height as I want to carry it around on trips. Thankfully, the weight of my gear (2.5kg) is still okay with my tripod max capacity of 3kg.

Also... some tripods can do this:

There was a promotion last year where you can get 3 additional months of warranty if you register your camera body online at Nikon club. Better check to make sure.

Register your BODY for additional 3 months warranty! Don't trust sales personnel fully.

Just make sure you keep both the receipt and warranty card at a place where you can find it easily.

can point out where to register?

I bought the grip at $270 at Alanphoto but I am very certain that you can get it at a better price with SLR revo.
I bought the grip because it supports AA batt. Very cool feature.

Does it add alot of weight to the camera?? Concerned about the total weight of camera+lens+grip+flash. Nt sure whether to get this in the future or not. I dont find myself using up 1 fully-charged battery in 1 day though.

thanks! have registered! woo hoo!

sorry to interrupt, saw u guys talking abt warranty. is receipt needed for the warranty when bringing to service centre in the future?

yes u have to keep ur receipt w ur warranty card

you can go down to T branch and try. My colleague was there earlier today and he was offered the same prices we got. Staff told my colleague that they are extending it to others too. Not sure about the other branches.
