New user here, just got mine on 21/03/11 with 18-105 kit + 50mm 1.8.

the tripod that is given as freebies for nikon d7k in the IT show is the slik f153. the kata bag is the 3n1-10. ok enough for the kit lens, but think not enough to keep a 70-200mm lens with the body.

Yea 3n1 is really small, my 3n1-20 can only contain a 70 - 200 VR II, 24-70 attached to body and a SB-900 together with a psp and a really small accessories pouch.

with exchange rate this is a very good price. may i know the name and address of the shop in HK? wonderfully a friend is going there soon.

Got it (body) in HK for HKD 9340 inclusive of CC processing fee. No freebies.

This is great. With current exchange rate it is a very good deal. can you help give name and address of the shop in HK?:)

Just join the D7000 family ystd! Got it from T branch! Thanks the organizer for the gb! 

just got my refund thru item fm H branch. no troubles at all. all thanks to samuel for assisting! kudos to u!!!

Hi SkimMilk,

Do you happen to know if the batteries are in stock yet? =)

saw a few pieces on display but not sure if they will release to the GB members. when i picked up my set, I got the battery on the spot while other members were not able to pick it up (saw at least 4 pcs left after i got mine).

for those interested in getting a cleaning kit, i got this at Jurong point's Fairprice xtra:

Saw this selling at branch H also. duno their price though. I got a Lenspen LP-1 from them at $18.

Have anybody from the D7000 GB received updates on whether the battery is ready for collection?

I missed the GB boat. Sad.

chef, call sunny and see if you still get the same rates (find his number in previous posts).

Grinfish / NiceShot: try calling them to ask?

not that you cant trust them fully... cos they sell and manage so many products... lol.. how to know all...

Register your BODY for additional 3 months warranty! Don't trust sales personnel fully.

Just make sure you keep both the receipt and warranty card at a place where you can find it easily.

hi senior member, for D7000.. if we use D lens, should i turn on the auto distortion control... cant really tell the diff.. manual says if D mount, okay to turn on...

alternatively.. can any other member advise if they turn on the auto distortion control for D lens...

Back and front focusing can be adjusted.

If only some of your lenses have a problem, use AF fine tune in the camera.

If all lenses pretty much back or front focusing in the about the same amount, there is this allen key hole thing behind the mirror you can twist to adjust.

If you are not sure how to do it, bring it into NSC.

Does it add alot of weight to the camera?? Concerned about the total weight of camera+lens+grip+flash. Nt sure whether to get this in the future or not. I dont find myself using up 1 fully-charged battery in 1 day though.

Yes. It really adds up lots of weight. So normally I will not attach the grip unneccessarily.
(imagine Body+grip+70-300mm+SB 900= dumb bell that can take pictures)

But a heavy camera is better than a no batt camera right?

just called sunny. stocks for the battery freebies will be coming in 2 weeks time. no more group buy prices for those that missed the last one.

after using the camera for a couple of weeks now. i noticed that it does not seem to consume that much of battery. i even tried to shoot for a whole day with just one charge and no problem at all.

Hmmm...2 weeks time? They told me that two weeks ago..hee..hee. Well, let's hope that we will be getting the battery 2 weeks later :-)

Hi,

Just bought my d7000 a couple of weeks ago and have been noticing a partial orange brown tint appearing across many of my images. Especially in indoor shots. It would appear at the bottom, at the side, across faces etc.

I tried shooting at continuous shutter and will see the images appearing in different tints on the same subject. I am unable to determine the cause of it and have had many shots ruin by this.

e.g

Anyone experienced this? Is there a reason? or is this a faulty set?
