D7000 user...fall in!!! Part 2

Hi,
I'm new to DSLR, and I'm thinking of getting the D7k.
However, after reading the posts in this thread, I'm reconsidering.

I'm concerned about the dust/oil spots appearing in my pics. Looks like the sensor/cam gets dirty too easily?
And some owners brought cam to NSC and still have spots on the pictures? I.e., NSC not doing their job properly, even after charging almost $30?

I read also that it's recommended to change lens pointing cam down and when it's not windy. However, it still doesn't guarantee that the sensor would not be 'dusty'.

Some owners were able to remove by blowing. But also not guaranteed. And I don't think this is a solution.

Hmm...

Even the highest end camera gets dirty just as much as an amateur camera would, it all depends on user?

About oil patches/nikon doing a bad job when comes to sensor cleaning, i got no comments, but again, even if u bring in D3100/D3s, if they do a bad job, all u have to do is to ask them clean again?

just buy and shoot, when it is dirty then decide wad to do next... all cams get dirty, not just d7000

There are already 2 D7000 users fall in threads and this is page 44. Getting a really dirty sensor is like striking 4D.

"really dirty"? That'd be disastrous.

But is it really common to have specks on your sensors, resulting in specks/spots/dots on your pictures?

I know we can PS that out, but that's not the point here.

Hi Everyone, Louis here, recently purchased my D7K a few weeks ago and already fall in love with this body.
I have a few questions, hope someone can help.
1. Is that any good standard lenses best use for this DSLR? Like a good all rounder?

2. What is the best wide angle lenses available for this DSLR?

Hope to find out more information before embarking on new lenses for my 'baby'

Louis.

I find that the kit lens is great enough, unless u want to go into something else.

I think I will settle with the kit lens first. Here

well, u will get dust specks on ur sensor if u dun make a habit of changing lenses in a proper manner.

anyway, dust is everywhere around us. they will end up onto the sensor in the end somehow. live with it and perhaps learn how to clean the sensor urself (more than just blowing with a blower) if u dun wanna make visits to NSC for a cleaning session

in what way is ur kit lens limiting u? if u cannot answer this then u probably wun need another lens.

Nope.juz bought the body.

since ur budget is only 1k, here r some recommendations u can consider:
if u need constant f/2.8 aperture:
tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC / non-VC

if not then:
Nikon AF-S 16-85 f/3.5-5.6G VR
Nikon AF-S 18-105 f/3.5-5.6G VR
Nikon AF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6G II

that's all i can think of.

hi could any one provide me with where to buy d7000 body in malaysia thanks!

Maybe a tamron 17-50? Or an external flash?

Doesn't matters which camera you buy. All DSLRs get dusty sooner or later. The ones which don't get dusty are those without interchangeable lenses. You don't remove the lens so nothing goes in. It's just like how we swallow dust when we breathe with our mouth ^^ don't open = no problem

Hahaha! I like the mouth example!
Yup, learn how to clean ur sensor. It's not tough although it feels intimidating at first.

N wow, suddenly so many 'new joiners'!
Welcome onboard! Enjoy this lovely toy!

Oh,i do hv a sb 900 flash.
Is tamron good?

They say it's the best fast zoom for the cheap $600. I haven't tried it though, but I'd like to buy one when I have the $$$
