Yeah due to overheating. The 20mins if I didn't remember wrongly is to prevent overheating, not memory space

Hi guys, i noticed that my D7000 tends to shoot over saturated/warm pics when set auto WB. Anybody have the same results?

Which settings should i set to balance it out? When i do custom white balance, some part of the picture look ok, but some of the background white light turn blue-ish due. How do i overcome this?

Ask I know your tamron lens 17-50 f/2.8 BIM non VC need to replace main control bord and upgrade firmware

Hi,

Wish get advise from everyone here to understand how big the memory size for per second for taking the video on D7000?
If 1 second use 1MB of size, then 8GB card allows for 8000 seconds or 2.22hrs video.
I am planning to get a video capable DSLR and wish to know how much SD card i need to buy.

Thanks
Lim

u know u can learn to be more patient since u had alr created a thread asking the same question in the Nikon sub-forum. so just wait for ppl to reply there instead of posting the same question in a different thread.

Anyone enlighten me on the point of the viewfinder and live view grids? It's not rule of thirds so yeah. How does it helps?

Having now shot two weddings and three pre-weddings with the D7000s, I cannot fault them apart from the limited RAW buffer (UHS 45mb/s cards help a lot). They're so much lighter. With my use of OCF, I just don't see the need to ever go back to D3s or D700. Plus I've somehow managed to destroy my shoulder and the 70-200VR on my D7000 is as heavy as I want to carry for 12+ hours on any given day :D

Wide angle, anyone using for d7k? Since its not ff, how is the distance been calculated?

I'm using a Nikkor 10-24. Very nice lens :) Do you mean how do you calculate the equivalent focal length? For the d7k it has a 1.5 crop factor so 10mm is equivalent to 15mm on a full frame,

Yes yes. That's what I meant.
Can this 1.5 be use for all focus length conversion ?

Its not a conversion but rather a crop factor. For Nikon cropped sensors, the crop factor is 1.5X for all lenses, no matter FX or DX. However, it doesn't really matter if you have not used FX before.

no ... only for DX, you need to mutiply by 1.5, for FX it is according to wat the lens states

Just got my d7k on Sunday in KL.

Purchased the body with a Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6g, Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f2.8, 2x 67mm SteinZeiser Filters (1xUV, 1xPolarizing), 2x SP 32GB SDHC Class 6 memory cards, additional EN-EL15 battery and a Nikon SL168 tripod for RM7,500, or say S$3,125.

Could anybody pls let me know if I got 'chopped' or was it a reasonable deal?

Thanks in advance.

Here's some rough calculations

D7000 body – $1400
70-300mm – $650
17-50mm – $600
Polarized – $40
UV – I got mine for free
32GB – not sure. Ignore for now
EN-EL15 – I suppose this is around $40?
Nikon tripod – got for free too

Total: $2700 rounded to nearest $100
Your Price: $3125

$3125 - $2700 = $425

Yours is not local warranty so in SG it should be slightly cheaper than $2700

I don't believe the 2 32GB cards cost $425

Sorry pal. Chopped up badly

Hope I didn't calculate wrongly

Chopped or not is rather personal... unless you're paying above Malaysian RRP, you're not chopped in my opinion... its just not the lowest price.

Thanks for the feedback. No regrets. Just know now that I shouldn't return for more.

D7000
Body in Malaysia now selling for $1200 instead of $1400. So he's actually chopped $625 instead of $425.
