D7000 user...fall in!!! Part 2

Body + kit lens + tripod + remote control + uv filter + kata bag + sd card + cleaning kit + sd card reader = $1888 (nets/cash)
I bought additional nikon battery + 8gb class 10 sd card and sum up to $2000

No travel bag though.. Won't use that anyway, so is okay. No more stock.

How much did you buy the battery?

Just shoot with what you have now. Read the manual of your camera body and Dry Cabinet for the beginning.
Depends how fast you learn, this setup should be good for you at least 3 months.
One other thing you might want to consider to buy is a camera bag. The freebie tripod should also be replaced. However, you can choose to spend one or two times with it to learn its weakness before you replace it.

Yours come with so many free gifts! even the dry cabinet. I'm gonna get a dry cab tml cos mine doesn't come with it. And remember to get the free 50mm lens from nikon!

I just hope i am not seeing things wrongly, on my work trip to Indonesia this reputable shop (and I verified they are official retailer) D7000 body only is around $1370, Indonesian Nikon warranty.

Not sure if I should go ahead and buy...

Hey, I just got my 7000D yesterday! I'm one happy man now.

This can happen to any DSLR camera body. If you expect to have 100% spanking clean sensor, pls use only one lens, never detach or simply dun use DSLR at all.

Having OCD to clean sensor will spoilt it before ur shutter mechanism fails, better to clean ur output in photoshop than to constantly cleaning the sensor.

Maybe not. 50mm lens is only for Nikon D7000 Kit (18-105). not for D7000body with Sigma lens.

I am confuse between flash sync speed and flash shutter speed.
You can find this 2 setting in e1 and e2.

haha. i gonna clean it when a couple of spots shows up on f11. I dun even shoot over that! I am just saying no point spending 20 bucks to get ur sensor cleaned. Learning to clean your sensor is part of the exprience of owning a DSLR. although i got to say D7000 attracts dust or oil more than my previous cameras.

It's the same, you will get spot very easily if you change your lens often. 1 or 2 dust spots won't kill your sensor, cleaning your sensor often will. Is it really worth the effort?

My dustless D300s gather more than 8 spots in the sensor within 2 weeks of usage. I can see them when I shoot at F/11 to F/16. The most I'll do is blower treatment and in-built dust shaker.

thats the problem. blower, inbuilt dust shaker, cant get rid of ANY spots that is on the sensor.

1) Overflow mode: NEF doesn't appear even though I shoot RAW + JPEG mode
2) One slot RAW, one slot JPEG mode: JPEG pics appear in both my cards

Hahaha! Ok ok! But i've to clean it cos it even shows up at f8 for me. Faint, but u do see a mark n it's really near the center. Sianz....
