Use 16GB class 6 cards, duo cards if u need data overflow or pure kiasu backup. Having 2 cards proofs to be useful and flexible in lots of situations.

i think i will use my 2 8GB card.. one class 10 one class 6 and set to overflow...

Hi all. My interest is travel photography and I want to get the D7000 by end July. Understand the set with the standard kit len sells for less than $1900. I saw an advertisement that a D7000 with 18 to 200mm len is selling for $2099 at the Food & Electronics Bazarrd. Request advice whether the latter set is a more cost effective one. Thanks

Do note this thing if you are really going down to buy, the 18-200mm that they are providing might not be from Nikon. I'm not exactly sure what are they giving, but I'm guessing it's a 3rd lens from sigma or tamron. Better check first before you buy. Note that I'm not saying that 3rd party lens is bad, but I'm just saying it's not a fantastic deal.

Does anybody's D7000 have a squeaky grip when you hold up the camera?
Mine does that and is especially annoying when video recording picks up the squeaking noises.

hi guys just a quick check. is there a option for the D7000 to be bundled with a 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 instead of the 18-105mm kit lens?

18-55 is a better lens indeed.

Anyone bought stuff from John 3:16 at funan? I went there to try out the D7000 and the staff there are quite polite and not "pushy" at all. They gave some suggestions and frankly, they are quite knowledgeable in photography. Gonna buy my D7000 soon with 35mm f/2D. :)

On all ur lenses? Got filter?
Glares / flares?

sadly, on sensor. Have to send it to NSC to clean it up but the problem came back again... But luckily i dont always shoot f22 at a blank sky.

Just get the body n buy lens separately. But just to share, I did that n ended up buying a used 18-105 as I found that the 18-55's reach is not enuff when I'm out with family. But yes, 18-55's IQ is definitely better.

I have no idea why but my D7000 seems to be attracting alot more dust than my previous cameras...

turned off while changing lenses? read that if you left it on, the static tends to attract dust.

Just bought my D7000 from TK foto at funan since John 3:16 is not open on sundays. I'm loving my camera. Super sattisfied. :)

what is ur package from TK foto like?
and how much?

Guess what Samuels? I get this too! i've got 2 blots. one near the center. Seems to appear from f22 onwards. On f8, i can actually see a faint hint of it in the sky...
now this is no good.... =(

Body + kit lens + tripod + remote control + uv filter + kata bag + sd card + cleaning kit + sd card reader = $1888 (nets/cash)
I bought additional nikon battery + 8gb class 10 sd card and sum up to $2000

No travel bag though.. Won't use that anyway, so is okay. No more stock.

Need some advice and guidance here. First time venture into DSLR :D

Just bought my D7000 from Expo today via Audio House. Comes with Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC.

Came with the following free gifts:
Lens Cleaning Kit
Camera Case
SD Card Reader
Camera Tripod
8GB (Class 4) and 16 GB (Class 10) SDHC Card
Screen Protector
62mm UV Filter
Electronic Dry Cabinet

Just wondering if I need further equipment to properly maintain and use the camera.

Thanks.
