1830 for body, 2000 for kit - alan photo quoted at noon today

The body and kit difference should be more than that, probably they are breaking the set to sell body only??? Curious to know how much is SLR Revolution quoting, seems this new kid on the block has always been the lowest.

which means the kit lens 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 is only worth $170??
will see the kit lens price impact in the Clubsnap B&S section very soon
the current sellers of the kit lens pls cut down your selling price quickly before the D7000 arrives :bsmilie:

If in this case, better to buy the body with kit lens. More worth it. I believe the kit lens should worth more than $170. ;p

IIRC, in their previous poster, they even included a battery grip with body with kit lens at RRP. Can't imagine the consequence if they didn't take down the RRP in their poster. (They already removed that).

If that's the case, I think in order not to spoilt their market, most probably street price of D7k with kit lens will be higher then. :nono:

With such high expectation, enthusiasm and more than 20 pages discussion on a camera which has yet to hit the shops, it better performs. :bsmilie:

Very nice... Alan photo hit the jackpot...

I wonder which shop selling body only... most likely I'll be hooting this weekend...

It is cheaper to get the body from Malaysia. Malaysia is selling the body only RM3999 (~S$1666).

for electronics like camera, if bought in Malysia, do we have to pay any tax when reach the woodlands custom area, or declare anything?

also, can we claim tax refund from Malaysia?

some questions:

1) What is the max shutter count for D7000 and D90?

2) is what ways is D7000 better than D90?

3) Can the D7000 viewfinder able to display superimpose grid like what Canon 7D capable of.

can anyone answer this question?

There is no max shutter count, only tested up to how many shutter counts.

Even if the D7000 is rated at 150k shutter count does not mean it will end there, it may last up til 200k or more.

What ways its better then the D90? Tons of it, let me list a few here:

- Higher MP and ISO up to 25600
- Newer Processor and metering module
- Dual SD slots
- Ability to meter with Ais lenses
- Able to use WT-4 for wireless file transmission
and many more....

Superimpose grid? I don't really get what you mean, maybe you are referring to viewfinder grid display and it's yes its on the D7000.

I believe you could get more answers by searching out there. :)
