By the way, does any new owners of the D7000 faces soft images and hot pixels while video taking like what some of the reviews I've read online?? Anyone care to shed some insight?

Hot pixel is common to all cmos camera. It dun just happen on D7000 sensor. Cold start or pixel remapping will resolve these issue. We are talking like few pixels out of 16 millions which is a very small percentage.

my friend just bought the D7000 at OP.

i was doing some test after he bought the camera and the ISO noise control is a little overrated.
@1600 and above the noise is visible even on the small LCD. (it was just a simple test)

the noise control is very much similar to my D90.

I was also waiting for D7k like mad. But because of its current unavailability, tried my hands on D300s. That body feel is amazing.
D7k is definitely better than D300s in some of the specs but that D300s hold couldn't stop me from buying it. Finally a proud owner of D300s

Saw few sets if D7K at northpoint harvey, tried it and feels quite good. Forgot to ask for pricing, but big chain shop should be ok pricing ba.

32gb can store 3 hr 40mins full HD (1080p, 24p) video. Using min class 6 is recommended for video, although you can use lower class but you risk error while writing at high speed.

I tried the Had video with the free class 4 card. The video was not smooth, a bit jerky. Could it be because the card is not class 6?

actually most of the things get better deal there, e.g.: car, land etc. Market there is very competitive and got very high demand. Unlike in sg, not as big, not as wide.

I see. Maybe wall socket adapter for the charger really only available in certain countries/regions as was stated in the manual.

It's nice to have though. To reduce the clutter of cables and it's also handy when travelling.

Bro, same here. Btw, I am holding my horses because price has not settle down yet, i am not in an urge the get the cam and most importantly, waiting local user reviews (which will not differ much from other countries users) and body only. If possible, waiting the launch with some free gifts.

I suggest to take a look at the expo on 25th if Nikon booth got what to offer or free gift.

I tried out the video last night and found there about 5 hot pixel pop up but in still image coudn't see these hot pixel. I took a photo of white wall and coudn't see any hot pixel. How do we clear off these hot pixel? Should I change my D7000 or bring it to NSC?

Actually if they know how to do the math.

Example...
Sell 10 set x $50 profit = $500 profit.

compare to

Sell 1 set x $200 profit = $200 profit.

Usually shop are smart, they rather earn lesser but sell more sets bcos if they dun sell you, you will leave and get from others. Which explain why bulk purchase got more bargain power.:thumbsup:

Having said that, maybe we can host a group buy and bargain for the best price!
