D700 price after 5Dmk2 launch??

D700 drops to 2K? Could it really happen? I think Nikon is working hard now, thinking ways to enhance their D700 in order to fight against 5D MK2. May be, very soon we will see D700 with 24mp and HD movie rocording function too.

Hard to say... that will probably only happen if the D300, D700 & D3 successors come out... then u can buy the D700 for 2k... which I feel is more camera than I will ever need.

It has EVERYTHING to do with it.

if the economy isn't doing well, your job security isn't so firm etc etc, you'll want to save up as much as you can for the impending storm. you won't HAVE a budget for "toys".
